If the jailbreak starts to slow down your iDevice then just reboot, respring, etc. you could also try staying in safe mood for a while instead of going through the process of unjailbreaking and rejailbreaking
Also, iOS 6 is pointless. The only thing I actually liked about it was the app store. Other than that. It's pointless to me. So I'm gonna stay untethered on my iOS 5.1.1 and be happy xP
