are you serious? you told me to choose an IP outside the DHCP's range...the range is 192.168.2.2 - 192.168.2.5 and my ip i chose was 192.168.2.100....that is NOT within the DHCP range....
well i already posted it once but here it is again...
i have my modem plugged in to the router, and from the router i have an ethernet cable from the first port to the PC, and from the 2nd port to the xbox
in zone alarm i have the following IP's as trusted...
range: 206.13.213.1 -...
that most definitely wont work...if you unplug your power cable and plug it back in, its going to take like 15-20 seconds for the modem to go through its startup phase
yea i tried it with a friend and its the same as if im doing it by myself, i use the same method that was posted here for doing it without a full party and i still never got host....
i had his IP under trusted and everything....but when i get host without forcing it, it would still let me...
for some reason im not getting host using the without a full party method, but i think for some reason putting the firewall slider on high when the game load screen appears makes some people lag out, i just tried it 2 games in a row and on the first game 2 people from the other team were missing...
fixed my MTU problem with a firmware update
just tried doing the bridge again and it didnt work again....ill try it another way and see what happens
i have a lot of IP's half routing on cain....does that mean anything?
ok that makes sense i guess, my xbox was using 192.168.2.3 and that WAS within my routers IP range, which i set to be the range of 192.168.2.2-192.168.2.10
let me give this a shot and see what happens now
ok ive given the xbox and pc both an ip outside the range of the DHCP my NAT is open but...
ok i think im finally on to something.....ive removed the IP's you told me to, and im trying to do this by myself right...

what if i just unplugged the ethernet that goes from my modem to the router for a few seconds? im assuming that would be the same right? cause when i standby thats all i do is unplug the cable, run over and kill everyone then plug it back in
ok ill tell you exactly how my setup is and how ive got the programs set up, then you can tell me if i have something wrong or just not doing something right
i have my modem plugged in to the router, and from the router i have an ethernet cable from the first port to the PC, and from the 2nd...
Ok I have one last question that hopefully someone can answer....
If I end up getting host without forcing it, and I put my firewall slider to HIGH, will this still work as a standby or do I need to force host for that to work? And if it will work without forcing host, but when I put the...
i never bought the pro version i downloaded the 15 day trial, but ive already switched back to the free version.....im not gonna worry about bridging anymore, i get host every so often and thats enough for me....i just want to standby a few games, not enough to get me banned or anything, but...
i know its going to be hard to do, but i'd love to bridge when im by myself cause most of the people i play with hate it when people standby, and i do too, but im tired of people doing it to me, so im just trying to get some payback
if im trying to do it by myself i shouldn't need to add any...
has anyone gotten this to work playing by themselves?
i must not be doing something right because i was just in a party with another guy and tried to use this method and i didnt get host for 3 different matches, but then the match i didnt even try to get host i was host....wtf???
