Well, I sure would not call Ubuntu useless, as I am using it to write this. In fact, only boot into my Windows partition when I need to sink my Zune. Other than that, Ubuntu is my primary OS. But, of course, if grub somehow got messed up, that yes, it would be useless.
Anyways, for...
Unfortunately, you are screwed I believe.
So, it is requiring you to connect to the internet to install a .deb? Hm...
Well, you could try plugging straight into a phone jack for some crappy dial-up, but that probably won't work, especially if you have digital phone. You might be stuck on this...
Well, I haven't posted in a LONG time, so I thought I would start out with something constructive. This tut is basically just a copy-paste of jsully1's post over at the Ubuntu forums. The only thing I have changed is removing some un-needed "sudo"s (at least I think they are!). All credit should...
How can you tell how much disk space your account on Windows XP is using up on your HDD? Since this is a family computer and there are multiple accounts, I need to know how much disk spaced is being used by a SPECIFIC account.
-Thanks!
Thanks! There were just 3 things stopping me from getting a 360: My old Xbox saves, wireless, and money. I got 2 of those things worked out today.
Now... about the money...
I have heard that only a 360 wireless receiver will work on a 360. Is this true? I currently own a Linksys Wireless-G Game Adapter. It is advertised to work with the Xbox (not 360) and PS2. Does any one have this hooked up with a 360 and does it work? I really don't want to shell out another...
Have have been thinking about getting Xport to transfer my Xbox saves to a 360 HDD. But, will Xport work with the new Elite 120 gb HDD?
EDIT:: Can I get banned from XBL for doing this?
Okay, so I have re-downloaded the file with the new shell.
I made a new folder entitled "Windows Aero" in C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes.
I then put Windows Aero.msstyles and the shell file in the new folder.
Yet, when I double click on Windows Aero.msstyles, it still brings me to the regular...
Looks cool, but when I double click on the file named Windows Aero.msstyles under Theme, it just just brings me to the normal Windows themes. I mean, Windows Aero is not an option. I am doing something wrong?
It appears it might just be Bungie's fault. I thought installation was failing because of my modded Xbox, but people are complaining about the same problem at the Bungie forums too. I think we might just have to wait it out.
-EDIT-: Taco Pirate beat me to it!
Not... Good...
Well, its 4-17-07 and the new maps have been released. So, I purchase the new maps and go to download them. An error message comes up saying that they could not be installed. I try it again, same message. Did I just pay 4 bucks for nothing, or can there still be hope?
P.S...
As most of you know, Bungie is releasing two new Halo 2 maps in the coming weeks. I just have a quick question about this:
Will I be able to download this maps to my Xbox even if it is softmodded? (I still have my MS dash and I can still play on Live by cold booting.)
