Your not getting what im saying.. When i press the open tray on the dashboard (the eject button is not on the disc drive atm) it says opening.... but the tray DOES NOT OPEN. the center LED flashes once. It then says close drive but it doesnt shut... For obvious reasons.. (The tray isnt open!)...

What should i do then? I really need to get this drive working again.. I dont care if its flashed or not, i just need the XBOX to work.. I dont really want to explain to my customer i almost bricked/bricked his drive!

case could be on too tight, this happened to mine. Undo some screws so its sturdy but not excessively tight.

I swapped the 2 washers for just one spring washer, now i got 0020 and the fans still spin..

Thanks. MY GPU heatsink is fine though right, because i dont have to apply pressure on that? and would 3 washers on the topside be enough? I also have spring washers

It's immediate, then the fans stop spinning. I have 2 washers on the chip side, and one washer on the underside of the motherboard.

This is really starting to stress me out, i have the GPU heatsink attached with bolts, but once i screw the CPU heatsink down i get the 0002 error, i have tried loosening etc but no luck. However if i remove the screws from the CPU heatsink and put alot of force down on the middle of the...

I've got an old xenon xbox, it had the 0022 error where when you press the on button it would take about a minute then the red lights would show, (it was quiet and it didnt sound like the fans were working but they were) I reflowed it using a heatgun, plugged it back in, and overheated it...

It's actually doing my head in.. started off with one error 0102.. now its got 0022 WTF!

Fixed it all back together, let it overheat like i was supposed to, now i get the 0022 error.. 0022 - CPU error, generally caused by a poor connection to the mainboard (cold solder joints/bridged solder joints). This can also be triggered by an error with the TSOP. Whats the fix for this? or...

This is the first tut i have seen that has a detailed guide on how to open a slim xbox.. Good job! and what a sexy xbox you have there ;) +rep.

The best thing to do is just mark one yourself with a fine tip pen, use a ruler and make sure all the sides you measure are parallel to each other, i have done this in the past and it ends up looking good with a professional finish.
