What are we looking for?

Unique commentaries

Give your video some personality, some pizazz! Your commentary should be vibrant and able to draw your audience in. Don't get too carried away, though! You should be confident, but also keep your commentary clear and concise - enough to keep your audience listening.

Tutorials/Showcases (glitches, tips, etc.)

Tutorials on how to perform the next best glitch, tips on how to complete some activity in-game, or general explanations of things in-game are highly valued in any gaming community. Getting your video up quickly will help increase it's popularity and allow viewers to remember it over time, especially after many other channels will begin to copy your video.

Funny content

Everyone loves a good laugh. If you've just done something outrageous while playing your favorite game, make sure you submit it! We love to showcase fails, as well as wins.

New (and old) games

We love to pay homage to the games of the past, so don't feel discouraged to submit videos of them! However, we do prefer videos that are from the more recent set of titles (platform agnostic, of course). Newer content generally gets more attention.

Other unique content

If you've got a tutorial that's for something that you don't normally see, feel free to submit that too! Content that's unique in all definitions of the word, are more than welcome.

Tips/Suggestions

Video length

Viewers generally don't like videos that are "too long", so make sure to keep your videos short and sweet! Don't take this the wrong way, though. If your video needs to be longer, by all means. Just take into consideration how long your video is with respect to the actual content of the video. For example, someone might not want to watch a 10 minute video of your character dancing in different locations, but someone might want to watch a 10 minute video of your character beating a secret, never before seen boss. Always remember: quality over quantity.

Originality

Try to give us something new, something fresh that will make you stand out from the rest of the crowd. No one wants to watch the same thing over and over.

Video quality (4K/HD/SD)

Try your best to submit videos that are HD (720P, 1080P, 1440P, 4K, etc.). We won't penalize you for not uploading something that's no 4K, but please try to submit videos that are atleast 720P HD.

How to submit

Rules

The following rules cannot be violated by your submission. Submissions that violate any of the rules below will more than likely be automatically denied. Some violations may result in your account receiving an Infraction. The rules are (but not limited to):

  • You must have at least 50 posts around the site. If you do not have 50 posts, and think your submission is something we may like, please send a message to Cakes.
  • No advertising! This includes (but is not limited to): asking for likes, subscribers, viewers to check your other videos (or an external channel), displaying paid goods and/or services. We do not allow any form of advertising other YouTube channels or videos at this time.
    • If you are found to be advertising another YouTube channel or video within your submission, it will be deleted if we cannot salvage it.
    • If you are found to be advertising paid goods/services within your submission, you will receive an Infraction and your ability to submit content to the Media tab may be revoked.
  • Ensure that you have ownership of all media used within your submission. All content within the video must be produced by the invidiual submitting the video or be valid under YouTube's Fair Use policy.
  • No copyrighted music. We all love music, but if you're using a song that you do not have permission to use, your video will most likely be denied or removed shortly after being approved.
  • No watermarks. You are submitting your video to be represented as part of our channel, it cannot contain watermarks to another channel.
  • No excessive profanity.
  • Avoid excessively long video intros. If we deem your intro too long, the submission will be denied.
  • Please ensure your video is at least 1 minute and 30 seconds long. If you're submitting something that classifies as a "fail" or "win" video, please ensure that it is at least 20 seconds long.
  • Approval is ultimately decided by the Super Moderators and/or Administrators at this time. If your submission is denied, we will explain our reasoning as to why. Please refrain from causing a ruckus over a denied submission.
  • If you include commentary, please make sure it is good quality - don't go off topic (don't ramble), ensure your voice does not cut out, and of course, do not advertise.
  • By submitting videos to the Se7enSins Media section, you are agreeing to relinquish all rights to the video to Se7enSins if they are approved. If you have questions regarding this, please contact Cakes.

If you have any questions regarding any of the rules outlined above, anything written on this page, or suggestions on how to improve this page, please let Cakes know.

Se7enSins reserves the right to modify this page at any moment without prior notice. Please make sure to regularly check this page for updates.
