Hello everyone, it's been a long time since I played GTA IV on console, as I've been playing on PC instead and after coming back to console, I was greatly appalled by the graphics. Unfortunately consoles run graphics much lower than than a PC due to hardware limitations. Consoles actually only display the game in 1280x720 and STRETCH it up to 1920x1080 and they use a lot of terrible shaders and effects to try and hide that, including the terrible frame rate. This is why I've decided I'm going to make a few changes to the games graphical system to make the game a better experience for those that feel the same way.

I've already made a start and made the following changes:
Bloom has been halved
Depth of field has been removed
Ambient lighting reflections on certain objects has been decreased
All speed blur has been removed
All world reflections have been halved
Water reflections have been doubled
Police car light saturation has been increased
Blur between vehicle camera changes has been increased
The post processing effect has been decreased
The view distance has been increased
Vehicles spawn in full detail constantly instead of using LODs

There's still much more to do and all of this was done in only one file which you can download here:

It's a shame moders have to work on the Game and the Devlopers can't make it work the 1st time and they have the source code to the Game looks good

I was looking at a JTag today, but I can't afford that stealth stuff, the graphics mod looks pretty good so far buddy, much better than the older ones.
Better getting a RGH tbh you can get a slim one for like £110 with wires if you spend 200 you get free lifetime stealth there is a guy doing the offer on here you get your ROL what ever colour you want also.

It's already been done for pc.

Just to clarify, I'm not making a graphics mod, I'm fixing all of the terrible things Rockstar did with the console version the game to make the performance better. Standard PC graphics, even at a low resolution and the same graphical detail as console still looks better, because of better shaders and effects. Sure, I'll add in a few extra things, but I'm not going to do anything extreme, just putting it the way it should be.
