This tutorial is to allow you to change the license plates on your cars to Yankton plates, without having to SP-MP them into online. It will also allow you to unlock any car upgrades you might want, turbo engine upgrades, brakes regardless of rank or how many races or turbo boosts you've done.
You can also change the colour of the sovereign bike with this method.

This tutorial is different from Silverfoxs method as once set up takes a few seconds to perform and doesnt use Bluestacks or the other programs used in Silverfoxs method. This tutorial was previously on the Modifi3ed crew forum but thought would share with you guys at se7ensins.

This tutorial assumes that you have a smartphone. Either a iPhone or Android.
And a PC or even a MAC laptop. I normally use macs but do this on PC.
You need iFruit, Charles Web Debugging Proxi and GTA V.

Oh, this is the first tutorial Ive written so gimme a break.
If you find any steps are un-necessary, let me know and Ill edit them out.

step 1. - Download iFruit to smartphone from App Store

step 2 - Download charles to laptop - www.charlesproxy.com/download/ (Free 30 day trial Mac or PC)
Trial is limited to 30 mins which is more than long enough for your needs, but if you're gonna use Charles often, buy it.

step 3. - on iPhone go to wifi settings and set http proxy to manual

in the server - put the ip address of your laptop.
(This can be found in charles under help - Local IP address) pictured below.

6F7ulWx.jpg

port is - 8888

step 4. - In the game get in the car and drive it down to LSC

step 5. - on iPhone go to iFruit app and click on LSC

step 6. -select your online character and swipe right to get to the car you want to apply the plate to.

step 7. -Click on plates in iFruit and change the background colour of the plate.

If you don't already have a private plate in the game read below.

If you dont have a private plate already in the game, it isn't a hassle, just click on the plate in iFruit and choose a custom plate. It must be 8 characters and no-one else can have the plate. If it comes to it, use anything coz you'll be changing it over to whatever you want shortly anyway.

step 8. -Click customise at the bottom of iFruit

step 9. -Click order on iFruit.

step 10.- accept order, in the game you’ll get a text asking you to go to LSC to pick up your order. Ignore it. Place an order for another plate, It'll say you've got a pending order, overwrite it. again ignore this one too. Now order a third one. Ignore it too and order a fourth.

step 11. - Now the hard (er) plant… -on charles expand the folder -
prod.ros.rockstargames443 - cloud - 11- cloud services - members - yourmemberID - GTA5 - car.
In there will be four tickets. Right- click the top ticket and edit.
The ticket part looks like this -
GL6XDV6.jpg

You'll have four tickets. Choose the top one.

On the right hand side of charles click text and you’ll see the code.
The bits you’re interested in now is carPlateText::”YOURPLATE”,9”:”4”.
The last number will be from 1-4.
Change this number to 5 for North Yankton plates and change the YOURPLATE part to whatever you want it to be. It will look like this

vFLUyid.jpg

Once you’ve done that click execute on charles and that will send another order, the last one.

Now you’ll get a text in game telling you to go to LSC and collect your order,
this time go and collect it for your custom North Yankton plates…

If this doesn't work for whatever reason then, enable breakpoints.
Go to the ticket at the top of the list and edit that. then execute.
You'll get a text in the game saying to go collect your order, all without using IFruit at this point.
Go and collect this and it will definitely be the Yankton plate this time.
Though to be honest it ALWAYS works when doing the 4 texts first.

You can also use this method to upgrade your car without having done any races. Will still cost you for the upgrades but handy if its like for a second character and you can’t be bothered doing all the races again. thanks to Silverfox's new tutorial on the subject I now have the codes for the rest of the options, like paint and tyre smoke.

If you don't want to change these and just change the plates then ignore this part.
You still have to pay for these parts.

All this extra info has kindly been copied with Silverfoxs' permission from his tutorial.
The upgrades work a treat and are very easy to do once you get used to it.

So to change a sovereign to chrome you'd change number 7 and number 8 to "14" and change 67 and 68 to "4".

Thanks to Silver Fox for his tutorials which started me getting my head round this stuff.
Also saw youtube videos, all of which gave me a wee part of this method. There are a few different tutorials out there, but some either don’t work for me or some parts don’t work. Like I can’t get Bluestacks to work properly. So this tutorial is the method Ive found that works for me.
It seems a bit simpler than some of the other methods Ive seen. Hopefully will be helpful for some.

You can also use this to change plates for your friends. With their R* SC ID you can log in as them and change their cars or plates too.

Enjoy.

Nice tut! It's similiar to the iFruit on PC though.
Thanks buddy. Yeah is pretty similar but I could never get that ifruit on PC thing to work properly. Always had problems getting blue stacks to work. So came up with this method not using any of the other software I was having problems with.

used the previous threads as a guide to do it this way instead of using bluestacks, as it is buggy and would prefer to not have it installed on PC, so this is a nice tutorial for this method.

still cant use hex colors like fluorescent blue and the worn/utility paints via ifruit, correct?

also, why place 4 orders?

Yeah that's what I found. I just couldn't get the other tutorials to work and really didn't like the bluestacks.
Unfortunately we can only do paints which exist
It works for me, and for lot of people. Really easy to understand.
I thought there may have been similar tutorials before, I had a look, didn't find any. The Mods approved this one.
That other tutorial only covers plate changes where this one covers vehicle part upgrades and painting un-paintable vehicles like the sovereign. If the mods think its a re-post of another tut I'm sure they'll close this one down, but like I say, this one does more than just the plates.

Thanks TBoner. Yeah you can only use the paints available at LSC. Although you can unlock gold at any level and any of the other colours without having done any of the stunt jumps or turbo starts.
The reason for the four tickets is it was hit or miss when I tried it on 2 or three tickets. Four was the number i found it to work every time so started doing it that way.

Ignore MXKN's post. Unlike the others, your tutorial is written in proper English, and actually shows how to successfully complete it w/o the use of emulators such as Bluestacks or needing a jailbroken phone in order to use Flex.

Gotcha. Ya, I remember when first discovering this it was especially great for my char who wasn't a high enough level for alotta mods and hadnt discovered Downtown Underground stunt jumps. Tried doing it with one ticket, and worked 1 out of 2 times. Tried doing it with four tickets, and worked 3 out of 4 times. You're way FTW. Thanks again

Just a tip. It works with 1 ticket, just enable breakpoints just before you order the plates and it will stop the ifruit order, then go to charles and edit the order, then just push execute.

Another way is staying in single player, you dont need to use breakpoints, just order the plates throug ifruit, edit in charles program, then execute, go to multiplayer then the message from LSC will pop up, just the car to LSC to complete the order.

Thanks for the tip, MXKN. This writeup doesn't seem to be written by you, and your English is actually very good, would have never known it wasn't your first language. Will try it out tomorrow.

Doesn't seem to work for me doing it this way. When I enable breakpoints, the first message from the iPhone goes through as normal and the 2nd executed one from charles doesn't arrive. When i try to pick it up it is the unaltered order. Was the same when I posted this on the modifi3d forum, never managed to get it to work successfully with any less than 4 tickets. Ill be sticking to my 4 tickets personally. Anyone else feel free to try MXKNs one ticket method and let me know here how you get on. Thanks for the tip though MXKN. Will try the single player method, but you still need to come into multiplayer to pick it up so isnt worth the extra hassle of going to SP. It only takes a couple of seconds to change plate background and hit order for each of the four plates, so not a big deal to me.

double post

Do you setup breakpoints like in silverfoxs method?

Setup a “Breakpoint”
  • - Proxy menu > 'Breakpoints'
    - CHECK 'Enable Breakpoints'
    - Click Add
qRNQke_K0haX3WGRKjNcie8BEj7Pg-00qi1GZG-cW-wxFVWo39tiqQyRLw6OD-DsQX0BWB5pa6wWbZZGhBCHna0BjaXVn_8422FyNAX0R_56i7jLznN5vst5nQ

- Click 'OK'
- UNCHECK 'Enable Breakpoints'

When you enable breakpoints the order will fail saying "Order not Sent" then you go and edit in the order on charles.

I never get this to work when i started using it, the only way for me to work, was waiting in single player because the message from LSC arrive, but not with the modded plates or upgrades, so i just go to single player, wait there, edit the order, execute, then go back to single player.

This just tips that work with me, like you say, is not a big deal, the 4 msgs method looks simple and easy. BTW good post.

Just want to clarify that my tut also only takes seconds to perform once setup, and also only requires iFruit, charles, and GTA V, I just outline more iFruit options. I don't require bluestacks.

If this works for people better than I'm glad! Pls lmk if I can be of any assistance
