So I want a new computer, I won't really need it for gaming but I would like something that I can switch to if I do choose to game

I can install the OS myself, that's easy, I got all the periphirals and everything, just need the computer

OK NOW I KNOW YOU CAN BUILD ONE BETTER FOR CHEAPER, but I am really LAZY

So yeah what you guys think?

So you want a pre built PC:confused:. The PC you posted looks actually quite good in terms of specs. Its only the CPU that should be better if a computer is going to cost £1000 and with that money, a better GPU too. But seeing as you want a pre built system which will save you about an hour of your life (yes you can build a PC in under an hour) but the PC ...its okay(ish).

The one thing im worried about is the "high grade 600W PSU...Doesn't that sound slightly generic to you?:arghh:

I know how to install some fittings like RAM, GPU, but I would totally be lost in like CPU mobo all that type, so I wouldn't really chance it if I was trying to build my own :frown: Yeah I mean, right now I must be on like a 150W PSU? :o anything is better, but yeah I would LOVE to build my own, but I don't think I can do it correctly :frown:

Im going to link you to a guy who makes step by step tutorials on how to build a PC.

I personally have never followed his videos but I have watched them out of curiosity and found them really helpful. He tells you which way you need to insert the RAM and all that, so you wont miss a thing with this guy...

you also save loads of money and you could get rid of that generic PSU which will set your home on fire otherwise :notworthy:

The videos a bit dreary tbh

If you do watch the video above, skip to 8:45 because everything before that is useless

Not going to lie I skipped to around 30 minutes because obviously the first part is the shell of the pc, I got to the cpu part and I was like :o WOW I LEARNT SOMETHING, he's actually very good, defo going to do some research, got a few months before I actually have enough cash anyway

Not looking for windows 8/8.1 :frown: It's such a terrible OS, I've been using xp for the whole of my life, yesterday I upgraded to Windows 7, jesus, best OS so far, so much more user friendly, had a windows 8 laptop for over a year, it's basically like junk, I just gave it to my sister, I know you can degrade from BIOS but would rather save that £150 not buying an OS than pay for an OS that I hate

Once you get it you can just install windows 7 on it. 90% of pre build computers are gonna come with windows 8.

It tells you how to install the PSU before all that bit and how to put a optical drive into the case
