Hey guys,
Yesterday i had to Recover my complete laptop.
It didnt boot up windows and just gave me an error.
It was something like "could not load windows.... Error...blablabla" i dont know what it was but the only thing it let me do was boot the recovery thing. I couldnt even boot into safe mode.
I never had trojans, zombies, bots etc in my system and it was 100% clean!
Now my question is: Can i get some of my files back of my C drive?
All my work (programms, dll`s etc`) i made over the last 3 years is gone :arghh:
I really hope somebody can help me.
Thanks for your time reading my thread.

Hello Hellshock Hellshock , i'm going to try to help you as much as I can here.

What i need is you to tell me what you did to "recover" your laptop. From there we can take steps into getting your files back. If you formatted your Harddrive, then i'm sorry to say there is no way to get them back, but hopefully that is not the case here. Also, what version of windows was it?

Hey there,

Take out the harddrive of the laptop and insert it into another laptop or desktop as a secondary drive. Boot into windows on the primary drive and see if windows detects the drive itself in drive management. If it does is the partion corrupt? Is it heathy? If it does not show you likely have a dead drive on your hands. If you can somewhat still go through the drive but it seems very slow. You have a dieing harddrive on your hands so get that data copied over ASAP! It could completely die at any second.

Hope this helps
