So the time has come, some of my cards are outdated to the point that I can't play most modern games. I would like to upgrade it just enough to play games like Dayz Standalone and stuff for as cheap as possible so nothing ridiculous as I'm not that into PC Gaming. Anyways I come here to ask for your guys help as I don't have a lot of knowledge when it comes to PC upgrades.

My Basic PC Information

A new GPU and presumably PSU will be good choices. How much are you willing to spend on upgrades?

VcS Terror VcS Terror What is your budget?
Don't really have one yet, I'm just trying to get a idea on how much I will need. I'm not looking to make a ridiculous PC that can handle every game at ultra high settings, I just want to make it decent again for as low as possible. My second spoiler provides all my PC specs in deep detail so you can see what I already have.

This is what I'd upgrade.

PSU:
(US): http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Cert...&qid=1390767826&sr=1-1&keywords=Rosewill+450w
(UK): http://www.amazon.co.uk/XFX-Edition...=UTF8&qid=1390768025&sr=8-1&keywords=XFX+450w

GPU:
(US): http://www.amazon.com/GDDR5-technol...s&ie=UTF8&qid=1390768077&sr=1-2&keywords=7770
(UK): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-7770-R...2?ie=UTF8&qid=1390768058&sr=8-2&keywords=7770

I've had the 7770 2GB before it it's great for a 1920x1080 display, 2GB of DDR5 RAM is great for that resolution and I was able to play every game that I could on high-ultra (with an i5 4670k @4.6Ghz). The 7770 is the best card for a low price.

If you want a high end gpu have a look at either nvidia gtx 770 or amd r9 280x. Or if you want to spend more 780 etc. if less then gtx 760 and so on.

For psu i recommend going for a 500-600W eg corsair cx 600m.

He should get at minimum a GTX 770 or R9 280X I wouldn't recommend anything less than that, otherwise he'd be upgrading rather soon again.
