The seller is selling his entire game collection that he has worked on for over 25 years, and this one is the rarest and is said that it could reach up to $10,000 (£6000). The game features 3 short versions of games, Tetris, Super Mario and Rad Racer.
As you can see from the picture the cartridge is in quite poor condition and the label has been ripped and Mario has been written in ballpoint pen. The seller stated that he obtained it roughly ten years ago and the seller obviously did not realise what he had. However it does play perfectly fine. Nintendo numbered these cartridges however the seller does not know this ones number but has said that if the buyer were to run tests and find out its number it could be worth a lot more.
Chris Scullion Games editor for Computer and Video Games said:"It's like finding the rarest Ferrari but with a scratch - you'd still buy it.
"They are considered the holy grail among Nintendo collectors."
The game was made for a Nintendo competition. The entrants were allocated six minutes in which they had to earn points on every game, and the person who cam on top won an trophy a Universal Studios trip and more. There were 90 finalists who were each given one of these cartridges to keep.
One of these cartridges was sold last year at a charity auction and it got $11,000 however it was in better condition.
Despite the small amount of these it is not the rarest Nintendo cartridge. The rarest is the "golden" cartridges that were sent out in another competition by Nintendo Power Magazine.
