Last night I reset my iPad 2 (Reset All Content & Settings) and it shut off and now a loading circle was going so I left it like that to find it still on the next day loading, does it usually take this long or is something messed up? If so how do I fix it?

Please tell me it wasn't jailbroken when you did that....if it was you need to dfu restore in iTunes. You should ALWAYS restore in iTunes because options like that tend to have unforeseen issues such as this.

Dear ****ing christ, you never EVER use that option to reset the device. It takes out vital files needed by cydia to boot the iPad properly. You will just have to use another computer if you can't connect to the server. Just pick any random computer, could be a friend's, could be anyone's just go restore it to stock firmware and don't EVER do that again.

Did you make sure to put the device into recovery mode? Did you try using a different USB port? Did you try using a different cable?

My device is in DFU, and i tried different ports, i'll try different wire.

For now the device is soft-bricked so you may have to put it into recovery mode a few times before iTunes actually picks it up. That's why we never use that option. Just because it's there, doesn't mean we have to use it.

Next time, if you don't know what you are doing when you jailbreak, don't do it in the first place. It prevents things like this from happening.

God damn, the guy didn't know, give him a break. ****ing hell Tabuu.

I was under the impression that it was basic jailbreak knowledge, forgive me for being wrong.

I'm not sure if that's sarcasm and if it is, here's my answer: Not everyone is as knowledgeable about jailbreaking as you are. If you don't want to pass on this knowledge, fine, but quit being an *** about it. Stop being a ****ing ********* to people who are genuinely stuck and looking for assistance.

Aside from the Apple section drama. If you're unable to find any assistance here, I'd suggest you head over to www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak and post your issue. You'll have more minds available to help you, and might find someone who's had your issue. If you come to no success, feel free to PM me, I'll see what I can do.

where did i say that? he could just not help but he choose too cause hes a good guy and also you might think hes being an ***hole but really hes just giving advise you just took it bad and everything seemed good until you mentioned that he was being like that cause peyton got advise and was helped all you did was bring up useless drama which is getting the post off topic.

Stop posting your idiotic replies, you're derailing the thread. If this is the help tabuu want's to give, by all means show me how it's respectful towards the situation. Not helping him because he doesn't know what he's doing, isn't that the reason he needs help? Hurr ****ing durr.

Anyways,
OP has an issue that's quite interesting. His device is DFU'd but his computer itself isn't connecting to Apples update server. There apparently is no error code associated with the message given when it happens. I've already checked his host file, and it's not blocking the Apple server (like when you block the server for Tinyumbrella). Any ideas would be great, feel bad for OP. These are expensive devices, whether he knows what he's doing or not, I guess it would be the appropriate thing to help him as best we can.
