Reading up now..

Will post comments later.

So what I am wondering now is

By then end of 2015 I will almost definitely have 3 XB1s. So can I share the gold benefits between them in the same home?

and this still isn't good as we had obviously with our old DRM restrictions.

You won't be giving 3 consoles full gold benefits with 1 account. Unless you transfer your profile around of course though.

You mean just download it? Of course but what about me not being signed in.

Damn, so the 10-person sharing list is totally gone. That sucks.

Well ya, I assume the last console you signed into will have gold access. Otherwise you could abusive that pretty easily.

They said they were going to look into possibilities to bring it back, if they're smart they will apply it to DD games, if they are the first to let digital copies to be traded/shared, that'd be a huge advantage.

Although the PS3 had a sharing feature very similar, but for 5 people. They had to change it though because devs were upset about it. So I'd like to know how Microsoft was going to get away with 10 way sharing.

Well this means that it won't be a feature at launch, and perhaps only available a year or two down the road, if at all.

They were going to get away with it by "eliminating" the threat of the used games market, which is a big revenue loss for developers/publishers. I don't know all the details of how that would have made it work out, but it seems like that would have been the case.

10 people sharing their games with no restrictions would have created an identical or worse situation then used games.

just imagine the amount of people on here grouping up to play games for free. Lol.

So now, you can start playing a single player game on your account on your console, then disconnect your internet, and have a friend download your account and he can play the same game... since they removed the "always online" then it's impossible for them to check for this...
