I just bought the game for a second time and I'm starting completely fresh. I really just want to collect guns and play through all the dlc's without worrying about dying in the harder modes. Is there any shield or game save I can use from level 1 that can accomplish what I'm looking for? thanks in advance for any help.

There isn't really any gear that would be able to do that. Some Class Mod's with the right skills at higher levels may be possible. The best way would be to mod your Badass Stats as far as Health, Shield, RR and RD. This is easily done if you are on Xbox or PC.

I believe the easiest way involves removing your patches and doing the Heal Plz glitch...

It would but a low level one would quickly get out-leveled, even a modded one.

Play as commando. All you have to do is to mod your skill tree with Gibbed and use commando Blast Proof mod and you will never die

What if he can't mod...

OP-You can get yourself boosted to a lvl 61, then use modded gear to progress through the story. There are shields/class mods and weapons that can basically make you invincible.

I have a transformer shield that has over 100% absorb rate, like 700,000 cap at lvl 61 (or something really high like that, I cant recall off the top of my head), immunity to all elements (shock actually recharges the shield because its a transformer), and resistance to explosives. It makes you pretty damn hard to kill, but not quite invincible.

Reduces damage from explosions
Grants immunity to electrocution
Grants immunity to burn damage (not listed on item card but its there and it works)
Grants immunity to corrode damage (not listed on item card but its there and it works)

100% positive it works, Ive tested it extensively. Use against pete and you never need to go under the waterfall. Immunities won't protect against (as an example) the initial blast of petes pyrocaustic nova, but they prevent the Damage Over Time effects so you never need to rinse off. If someone shoots you with a fire, corrosive, or shock weapon the absorbtion takes the bullet and the immunities prevent the DOT effect so the shield stays fully charged the entire time, where if you take the immunities off the DOT effect will slowly wittle away at the shield. There are a few rare weapons that will go right through the shield though, like for example the Longbow sniper rifle (i think its because the arrow it shoots is not considered a bullet)

Are you sure they gave full immunity? UlTiMaTeAttaKeR UlTiMaTeAttaKeR checked a lot of shields a long time ago and the only one that would actually grant you immunity was the bee shield. If memory serves me correctly relics wouldn't give you immunities either.

***Thanks LEO MAXIMUS

It is strange, but I think its kind of fitting "There's more than your eye can see."

Thanks. I did notice before that the immunities on relics or class mods don't work, but I never realized there were problems with them working on shields as well. Perhaps they only work on shields that are capable of legitimately having an immunity?

***TBH, I Only did some testing on the Shields but NOT ALL of them... Got No time to do it all!
I've seen modders putting them on relics and class mods which is really kinda COOL:tongue:...
But I'm not trying to ruin the beauty of it, but to my surprised it didn't DO any difference!
***Great Find BTW, Keep Up The Good Work!!!

PEACE...
