When you code, what do you use?

I took a webpage class last year, mind you I was already a coder then, and the teacher made everyone rely on programs to help them code. Meanwhile I was taught to use notepad to code lol

what do you prefer to use?

Visual Studio for C#/VB (.NET).
Notepad++/gedit for everything else.

If you use an IDE, you can code **** fast. I'm so used to tabbing from intellisense completions it's ridiculous, but I also get done with a lot of that junk much faster than using normal text editors.

But also, if you're using a regular text editor, I find that I remember the language more, or the syntax and specific libraries.

No kidding, I rely on intellisense to fill it in for me so much. I would be lost without Visual Studio.

Visual Studio 2010 - VB.NET (School)

Trying out a new complier called SharpDevelop 4.3 Alpha, It's like Visual Studio's IDE but Notepad++'s expansive libraries and compatibility. :biggrin:
