Wooot. Its a party

What did you do for the lighted ROL? Can you actually get controllers to sync?
To get the board to fully sync by a button requires a more advanced mod using a chip. (forgot the name of the chip)
As for just getting the LEDS to show I just simple wired 2 wires to the leds. Here is a small diagram I made for a mate. Use it if you wish.

Hey Guys, I've created a account just to let you know a little bit of a easier way to do this. Once you have your RF board from the Xbox. Take the Metal cover off from around what it connected to the Xbox with and dis guard it. Now take a regular USB extender and simply plug them together they fit snugly and it works like a charm! No solder!

great tut, just wondering would it be possible to just plug the usb part of the receiver into the pc without doing the soldering and using a different usb, sorry if this makes no sense to you :L

That's the thing, that isn't a USB port. It's a special custom port for the Xbox 360 mobo. You have to solder on the USB cable like on the diagram I made.

Check my reply on page 5

It doesn't mater of you get it on the secondary LED point. I did it on accident and all it does it makes the lights yellow-orange since both green and red are on.

Hold it there long enough, it will kill the board. LEDS will get power. But it will not detect on pc. Trust me, ive done it to 2 boards to double check. Same results.

Well I have it on there right now and it works but only 1 light is lit and it's orange (I only connected LED 1 with a wire to GND). I've had it like that for like 3 hours and my thing still works.

not orange. If you get it to the secondary light. Meaning RED. not orange. Orange your still getting main connection to green. But if its pure red. Hold it there for a while and it will kill the board. Ive done it twice for testing.

Oh ok that's what I thought. I was like 0.o when I saw orange since I've never seen it before on a 360.

yea, when you get orange, you have solder touching secondary point as well as green. So its turning both on at once making orange.

That's not bad right? Hope it doesn't blow up.

im not sure. I just keep it on green. It could end up being bad but im not entirely sure.
Well what was it that killed the board, overvoltage? If both lights are on then power should be distributed to both of them hence why the orange is dim. I'm guessing they shouldn't really blow the board.

to be honest idk. Im not an electrician so I just go with what I find lol. It could be over voltage which is a huge possibility.
