Here is a video explaining why it will be terrible in my opinion. If you don't feel like watching the video then read the text below the video. Video belongs to WoodysGamertag.

Treyarch is not fully explaining everything to us. This makes me a little frustrated. These are reasons why Live Streaming will be terrible:

1. You can ONLY live stream in League Play
(League Play is a separate playlist where you face players around your caliber of skill)

2. Not everyone can live stream. You have to meet 2 requirements:
(1. You have to have a certain upload speed. Woody guesses it's between 2.5-3MB)
(2. You need a minimum number of viewers already to start streaming)

3. It is not coming out on release day

On a side note, You can't Codcast in League Play.

I personally don't like that Treyarch is just promoting Codcasting/Live Streaming and just shoving it in our faces and trying to get us to buy elite just to get it when they don't even give us the full details about it. What are your thoughts?

Also, sorry in advance if this has been posted or talked about already.

I didn't watch the video, I refuse to watch anything he makes...

1. You can ONLY live stream in League Play
(League Play is a separate playlist where you face players around your caliber of skill)

I don't mind it only being in league play, I'd rather watch someone/be watched playing a competitive, hard match than a pub stomping...

2. Not everyone can live stream. You have to meet 2 requirements:
(1. You have to have a certain upload speed. Woody guesses it's between 2.5-3MB)

Who the f*ck has anything below 10mb these days? 10mb is actually the minimum service providers give in my country; this should be an issue for anyone.

(2. You need a minimum number of viewers already to start streaming)

This seems a bit sh*t, I doubt it's true. I wouldn't take everything that idiot (woody) says as truth, he knows just as much as we do.

What moving forward with the times? Sorry you can't afford basic internet, ask yourself what has IW done? compared to 3arc?
Treyarc actually knows what they are doing.

League play doesn't go off kills wins etc you get what im going to call xp to save time, and if you beat players with more xp you get more xp and it goes off your xp or Skill Rank rather than k/d and all that

This is good to hear. Treyarch/activison cannot be wasting money that does not need to be wasted.

League play- When, if ever, I look for CoD competetive gameplay, I never watch "Me and ma kidz raping rofl GB MLG PROS YH". I'd rather watch a very tight game that'll have me on the edge of my seats.

Download speed - they will have a lot of people using the service and will want it to be streamed at a decent/constant quality so when people preview the live streaming in action they will think "this is good. I want to buy the game". A bad review/example will kick out 10 good reviews.

Required views - this is also needed so the average joe cannot upload the odd gameplay so he can show off etc. it should be used by the people who will benefit from it the most.

This seems a bit sh*t, I doubt it's true. I wouldn't take everything that idiot (woody) says as truth, he knows just as much as we do.

That is true but not every match is a pub stomping. Majority of the time I play with my team, we always get matched up against another full team that tries just as hard as we do. I agree with you though because I tend to watch NaDeShOt videos than FearCrad videos. I Love when Nade uploads really close SnD games.

I don't know where you live but 10Mb upload speed is rare to see here in Texas. As you can see from my Speedtest, my upload is just down right horrible and I pay quite a bit for my internet.

I don't always believe what he says but let's think about this for a moment. Would Treyarch honestly let every single Elite premium member live stream? Seems too good to be true. I never get my hopes up when it comes to CoD developers.

Also on a side note, there is quite a bit they are not telling us. Do we need Elite premium to live stream? Do we need it to Codcast? How long can our videos be? (In MW3, we were only allowed a certain amount of time if we wanted to upload it to YouTube) I have so many questions that I KNOW FOR A FACT, Treyarch would not respond to them.

This is true but I expect a bunch of GB players or full teams to play that playlist.

I've never had over 3mb and I've gone through Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon, all using the highest possible speed.

This has not been confirmed by anyone at Treyarch, so this might or might not be true.

Australia's Internet service sucks balls, a lot of people have under 10Mb/s (and even not just here, all around the world). But I understand why you need that 3Mb/s+ upload requirement.

Anyway, I don't see why anyone would be complaining about this. This is a brand new feature, not just in Call of Duty, but from what I know, the gaming industry? Of course there are going to be certain limitations to it as it's still very new and hasn't being tested with millions of players, but I just think it's awesome that Treyarch are introducing cool new things into the game.
