Solved Should I install the xclamp fix?

I fixied my rrod console with the heatgun trick and I am not getting rrod for 2 weeks since I have fixed the console.Should I get the xclamp fix for my console?

Shouldn't have heat gunned it. It's bad for the console. I'd send it in to someone for reflow / reball / X-Clamp. I mean you can try it, but it's not gonna hold up for forever.

Heatgunning and replacing x-clamps both damage the Xbox. Doing the x-clamp "fix" now will do nothing but make it irreparable when it dies again, and it will die again. If you're broke when it dies, that's the only time you should consider the x-clamp fix. If you want another week or two of gaming.

Even if it's working now, it will work for a month max. After that, it might be able to be reballed, if the heatgun didn't flex the board too much. Lol. Why does it seem that the people who care the most about their Xbox's seem to be the ones completely destroying them.

For 1-3 years you might be able to get by with a GPU reball and the 12v fan mod. Otherwise you'll need a reflow, and you can add the fan mod to it to help, but there's no telling how long a reflow will last you.
