first may I start by saying I strongly prefer battlefield to call of duty. As some of you know call of duty black ops 2 will be released in November and I know DICE has tried really hard to get some of the call of duty community to play Battlefield but was that all a waste of time or will the call of duty player's leaving to play black ops 2 make the game more fun to play. But on to my main point i'm guessing DICE is already planing something to take some of the spotlight off black op 2 but this something is going to have to be massive, Sort of like what they did with bad company 2 when they release bad company 2 Vietnam. I trust DICE to do something good. but will it be enough? also will you still be playing battlefield 3 when black ops 2 comes out. Or will you be playing activision's polished turd?

It doesn't matter what they do. That "something" won't take away much, if any, of BO2's spotlight. I know that DICE will be releasing two more DLC's after Close Quarters, so that will attract a lot of attention. I can safely say that I'll be no life-ing BO2 when its released, but that doesn't mean I won't come back to Battlefield.

Im renting blops 2 first before i even consider buying it :/
It got to the point where i had legitly played 107 days on cod 4 and then i played battlefield 3, liked it and bummed that for ages along with gears:L
Personally its gonna take alot to make me go back to cod from battlefield, i prefer the feel of battlefield. Plus i like the vehicles
As for their polished turd i dont know i will be trying it though

BF3 has three planned expansions which all will have new maps, new guns and vehicle's.
Fair enough Bops 2 will have zombies but that is the only feature that will keep the game alive, the multi-player will be a massive disappointment, I give the game one week before the guns are nerfed and we lose interest of the minuscule maps

Underestimating a games multiplayer when it hasn't even been released. Stay classy bro.

Shame on you Bhursty, you know better.

OP: I just don't really care as long as the DLC is as great as BF:BC2 then I wouldn't mind. I know for a fact that I'm not buying BO2 since I have all I need....

Black Ops II actually looks like it has potential to not suck balls. I will try the polished turd, if it sucks, back to BF3.

Resorting to cursing is ignorant and unncesary just saying when talking to me please refrain from doing it. History has the chance of repeating itself but is it honestly guaranteed? No.

No they won't. Call of duty is practically dead, but they cremated it with the futuristic setting. Halo 4 might spy a little trouble, but it won't appeal to many of the BF3 players, they are different types of games.

I'm sure they will do something DLC wise or something, but they won't need to. People that actually enjoy the game will still play it.
