okay so i just bought the x12 turtle beach headsets, and im having trouble setting them up... I have an audio out slot on my tv , and the old xbox 360. I tried plugging the red/white audio cords into the tv output, and the green end into the other green end on the headset. i then just plugged the usb into the xbox to power it, and i cant hear game chat ): i can hear people talking and they can hear me but i cant hear the game... is there anyway to be able to hear the game without buying the adaptor cord, or even in general using the component cable? like can you do it with JUST the hdmi

thanks!.. im new with turtle beaches..

Break the sheild on the connector with a knife and you should be able to use it for audio and an hdmi cable, M$ did it on purpose so if you have a headset and use an hdmi you have to pay them extra.

From the looks of it that green should hook into the red and white audio out line and that's about it. If that doesn't work buy and adapter.

Is it a green female (like something goes into it)? If so take that aux plug running from the controls and plug it into there. I really am failing to see what you mean because the diagrams looks so simple. Red/white audio out into the back of the tv, green male aux plug into that with pink staying unhooked and the usb into the back of the xbox. That should be it.

yea there is a red and white audio cord that you are supposed to plug into the audio out slot on the tv(which i did) then those two cords bind into one which at the end is a female green that you connect to the male green which leads to the headset... thats what i have set up now but its not working

Ye that should be it and properly set up. Do you have the talk back cable hooked up? The one from the volume control box to the headset itself?

not sure if this applies to you, but i saw this in a review so i went and found it for you...

According to their website:

"If you have an older (May, 2010 or earlier) Xbox 360 model (grey and white, Elite, COD/MW2 Edition, etc.) and you have an Ear Force headset with DIGITAL input (e.g. X41, XP500) you will need to obtain the Xbox HDMI Audio Adapter Cable to work alongside the HDMI connection."
