So i just bought another external for my jtag because my old one broke a while ago. Do i need to format it to fat32 because it's in ntfs right now and my jtag won't recognize my external and also my hard drive is 625 something like that, it won't give me the option to format to fat32, it only gives me the option to format to exfat. Please help

Fat32 is basically the format in which removable drives use.
a retail can configure the drive for xbox usage.

maybe just try doing it that way, then use that basically as an internal?
tbh i don't really know.
but it's worth a try.

Unless you only want to use 16gb of it, don't format it on the Xbox.

Download Swissknife on your windows PC, plug your drive in and it will find it. Then format it to fat 32.

Ahh, so much misinformation here. You are correct, the hard drive needs to be fat32. Just let your xbox format it for you. Go to settings/memory and let the xbox format it to fat32. You will not be limited to 16G like a previous post stated. Once it formats there will be a folder called xbox360 on it which you can delete if you'd like. The drive will format to the full size.

There is also many tools that will do it for you. The one I use can be found by googling the phrase "Format large drive to FAT32"

I would post a link but I am on my phone at the moment
