I have been having troubles connecting to Xbox LIVE on this Xbox. Whenever I first start it up and try connecting, it will just keep trying to connect, then say, 'This Console Cannot Connect to Xbox LIVE'. After waiting a few minutes, it will connect fine. It's been like this ever since I fixed it for someone. Reseting the router doesn't do anything. Troubleshooting doesn't do anything. What can I do?

Never saw this message before..

I searched around and found this post HERE: http://www.bungie.ne...r1-p=1#43185152
"I enter my passcode(the problem started the day after I set up one), it takes 1 second trying to connect, and it says "This console cannot connect to xbox live" or something like that. I haven't been banned btw."
I don't have a passcode though...

Port Forwarding might help, or manually assigning an ip address and the DNS servers. You can find your DNS servers by going into your routers setup page from any browser.

Is it just that xbox or is it a problem that's just started? If it's just started it's likely your ISP is having work done on your line and it will return to normal some time soon. If it's just the console, try setting a static IP up on the console & change the MAC address.

It could be down to your NAT, I recommend you por forward your XBOX's IP address(Google or Youtube it).

Just port forwarded, did nothing. Unless I did it wrong. Anyways, I'm connecting to the internet, but not LIVE.

It's just your connection. Are you using a wireless connection or are you using a internet cable to connect?

I don't think it would do any good, because it doesn't matter what gamertag I use, it doesn't connect to LIVE unless I wait a few minutes first.
then unless you're using a wireless router (you're probably just too far away if thats true)

or your ISP is just slacking, haha. Try calling your cable provider, ask them if there has been any problems in the area.

It's not my router or my internet provider. It only has done it on this Xbox. And yes it's wireless.

port forwarding wont help at all, port forwarding is to let connections into your router and directing them to a computer. xbox live does not connect to you, you connect to xbox live.
