I have plugged my liteon in via sata into the pc but jungle flasher or device manager doesnt detect it. Im asuming portio is working because when i run jungle flasher it doesn't give me any errors and tells me portio started successively. Im current running a windows 7 64 bit operating system in test mode so portio will work. Any reason why it wont work?

Does the drive eject? If it doesn't you might have locked you drive.

Try using DosFlash, here is a great tutorial from EclipseModz.

Also I used to run 64-Bit Windows 7 and JF locked my drive and I had to use DosFlash. Your problem maybe different but DosFlash is a lot more reliable.

Try a few different STA ports on your PC. My drives will only work when connected to Sata2 (probably 1 as well).

Move it around and see if you can get it to detect.

I was about suggest this, if I were you I would also make sure the drivers for your hardware are correctly installed.

If it's a LiteOn 7 series (EG: FW:74850C) you must get a CK3 Pro and probe the MX01 point. To get to MX01 you must take off the housing!

You don't need a CK3 Pro to have your drive recognized in JF and if this is a second flash (which I presume it is) then the OP has dummy.bin and has their keys backed up.

Sorry, my bad! You don't need a CK3 pro but I assume the 7 series drives need to be probed... Sorry for creating confusion! :o

All I know is that my LiteOn is recognized but can't get into vendor mode to flash without probe D:

If you already have your dummy.bin you don't need to open the tray halfway and enter vendor mode. You can carry on and flash without a hitch.
