It was 'confirmed' and posted on the Anon's facebook, thought I'd share because I'M GETTIN' AN iPhone 5 soon.
Side note: I don't care if it's old news. It's new news to me, all I've heard is October 4th is when they announce it and its specs.
We’ve independently heard that Apple has plans to begin selling the next-generation iPhone on Friday,
Update 4:
Confirmed:
—> iPhone 5, iOS 5, iPod touch 5G —> 4 Oktober 2011. <------
Update 3:
The leaked document, dug up by SprintFeed, mentions that the blackout extends from Sept. 30 to Oct. 15, though it neglects to mention the “major phone” by name. The timeframe surrounds an Oct. 7 “Strategy Update” presentation from the company that was announced late last month.
A recent report from The Wall Street Journal said Sprint will launch Apple’s next iPhone in mid-October. Responding directly to claim, the carrier issued an internal memo advising its employees not to discuss the possibility of a fifth-generation iPhone launch with inquiring customers.
The carrier then announced plans to raise its contract early termination fee for “advanced devices,” including smartphones, to $350 starting Sept. 9. The new ETF, which would match AT&T’s and Verizon’s own cancellation fees for similar devices, is meant to prevent customers from ditching the carrier after acquiring new devices for subsidized prices. The move has been perceived by some as an indication that a Sprint iPhone launch is near.
Update 2:
With many users of the iPhone 3 and 3GS up for a new phone with a contract renewal it may be the case that the iPhone 5 is the most popular selling cell phone or smart phone in history. Even those who have recently purchase an iPhone 4 may be willing to trade up if the iPhone 5 has all the features and specs that many think it will have.
With that being the case it will be highly unlikely that the iPhone 5 will be marked down at all for the 2011 Christmas holiday shopping season. Even though this is true it is still possible that this will be the hottest Christmas 2012 gift of the дфые 10 years especially iPhone 16GB. I can only hope my children or grandchildren upgrade my 3gs! Any other offers on this would be appreciated as well! Over the next few months we will get to hear much more about the new Apple iPhone 5 but as for now we can expect to see full prices for this piece of technology even during the Black Friday sales event.
Update 1:
October 14th. According to our sources, Apple has been weighing between launching the new iPhone on October 14th, but with the product’s latest stages of pre-mass-production currently moving along nicely, Apple is presently shooting towards a launch on the 14th. On top of this, unlike with the iPad 2, Apple plans to offer pre-orders for the new iPhone.
