has anyone ever tried to install linux the same way its installed on an xbox v1? like you would do it the exact same way except with a xbox 360 hard drive, you would run mechassault/splitercell and do it the same way? i know that the xbox 360 runs pirated xbox disks, mabie its possible to intall linux via that.

Read the OP again. He's talking about running the exploitable game and doing the softmod, but on a 360.

Ah, in that case no. Some people should check out the originators of Linux on a 360. Go to free60.org.

and what about doing the exploitable king kong mod but with a xbox original game because the 360 runs modified .xbe

Microsoft kinda patched that a few years ago.
Rigut because now you cant run a modified default .xex, but you can read a modified .xbe and modified .map(not that that matters)

yes, if i remember correctly the first kernel could run modified default.xex correct? (lol no jtag 10th lobbyz)
anyway it still runs modified .xbe(xbox v1 executable) so mabie we can still do it via the same way but with a xbox v1(exact same way as king kong hack but with a .xbe, mabie mechassault?)

you can't run a modified .xbe... still unsigned.

if it is emulated then it won't be able to do anything to the kernal/anything
hmm, can it modify the emulator itself? also cant you get the .xbe to run the linux installer? what would happen then if the linux installer is run via emulator?
