Im getting ****ing pissed off at this computer! I get it running windows finally, on the desktop. I have it plugged in vga to a little 26in hd tv. I go to change the display settings and I chose one size the computer screen went black and no signal! I can boot up in safe mode and get to the desktop, then what? I need help on getting my picture back. +rep again to whoever helps.

It is trying to use a resolution that is bigger than supported by your TV. If you have any display that supports a higher resolution, plug it into that, and then change it to something small, like 800 x 600, and then boot up with it on your 26", and change the resolution.

So the signal is not working on your desktop display, or the Television?

If it's your TV i can give you a little tut, if it's your computer it's what Wheen said.

Thanks it worked. Btw what settings do you prefer for a 720p tv? I'm on 1280x720 but it cuts a inch off the left side. I don't want to pick the wrong one again and have to go through the fix again.

Nvm, fixed that issue. Thanks guys. I +rep both of you.
