Are you using a different headset than the standard xbox ones (i.e Turtle Beach, Astro etc)? Make sure that the audio cables correspond with the video cables. Audio 1 Video 1 not, Audio 2 and Video 1.

i have just bought it and he said it works lol

Yeah good luck, few tips when putting it on.

For the over heating process, put the fan on top of the heatsink, don't unplug it, and leave it for around 5 minutes.

Make sure you clean it both the CPU and GPU correctly with Alcohol prefeably. And do not use too much thermal compound.

Not to tight, but not too loose.

Stop recommending this to people. It's bad for the console. You think it reflows the solder? It doesn't. Lead-free solder doesn't melt until you bring it past 217C. Overheating the console only takes it to 100C tops, so you're not even half way to reflow.

What this does is cause the solder joints to oxidize even more. It works because the board warps enough for the bad joints to touch. Once the board gives into this flexing, it will red ring again.

Consoles which have had this done before are much harder to reflow and reball.

Check AV cable status. If it is kinda messed up in any way, and since its 4 rrod, you need a new one. They're only 20 bucks, so you should be fine. Also, Xbox.com has a great support section that will guide you through the process of fixing it.

I had the same thing happen to me.

I fixed it by reflowing the gpu for 7 minutes on high.

It's been at least a month, and nothing has happened.
