Halo Reach, in my opinion, is a good game, the campaign is very cool with the ending and more killing enemies, but Bungie made Reach WAY to user-friendly online.
What I mean by that, is that when you shoot a sniper close to someone's head, not direct impact, close hit. It will give you a head shot by there stupid auto-aim. Don't say they didn't add this because I use the sniper a lot.

In Halo 3, that took nothing but skill with the sniper (Although I always fine myself shooting the tip of the player's head), and with the BR. All skill.

In Halo Reach, the only weapon that requires most skill, is the DMR, you must time your shots right, and not shoot when the circle is all over your HUD. If you spam shots, then that is luck. Treat shooting with a DMR randomly when the circle is bigger, as trying to no scope in Call of Duty. Simply because the shot in the DMR and Call of Duty's can go everywhere.

So, I rate Reach a....6

7.

Good game. Gets boring quickly. Nades and armor lock ruin it.

I give it a 7.

Armor lock, SWAT, Double Beatdown, and Drop Shield all ruin it IMO.
Mocking, you know I'm beast at Reach(lol) but it really does get boring (WAY faster then h3) and it is really noob-friendly.

I love the game.. 10/10 for me..

For the armour lock, it doesn't bug me. I use it on like Big Team Battle so I can destroy incoming Ghosts on impact. I also use it once in a while in small map when I play Mutiteam or something.

I use different load outs for different maps. I think the game in all is a fun and addicting game and it just blows Halo 3 out of the water and I played Halo 3 alot..

the campaign is really good and the story is amazing  if the game had no multiplayer i would give it a 10, but the multiplayer to me ruins in.

reasons: the online is good but gets old and boring quickly. its extremely geared toward new players and not the classic long time halo players. the ranking system absolutely blows and almost seems like bungie gave up on it. shoulda brought back halo 2 or halo 3 ranking system. the online is basically a 5/10. armor lock ruins everything (theres no reason why it should stop a vehicle charging at you or something) all people do is throw grenades. bungie really messed up the multiplayer and it definitely doesnt have that addictive factor that halo 2 and 3 had (believe me i used to play for HOURS everyday and do nothing but halo) but reach gets boring too quickly. it takes too long to actually get a rank up unless you dont mind sitting for hours in gruntpocalypse or on ONI sword base.

fix the multiplayer bungie.

why dont you like armor lock? it's perfect when playing team based games. it's awesome when i run into a bad situation, i shoot up a guy, but imma die. so i through that on, then my homies will jump out from behind me and be like "***** please, why you be shootin' up VinnyHaw". armor lock = bettar team game imo

I vote 5/10

Haven't played it in about a week or two. I don't find it as exciting as Halo 3.

I rated 7.

The fact that you have to pop the shield is gayer than a bag of d***s. If they've one tiny sliver left and get melee'd, only damage done is that sliver. Double melee + sprint ftw. God forbid someone find a functional BXB. They really did take after Modern Warfare 2 in that running melee classes can and often do trump any gun play aside from things like rockets/shotgun.

The game never has been about balance, but this game throws it out the window. Invis is nerfed from betapWhile we're on this subject, there is little to no ambient sound in the game anyways In MW2 good headphones improve your game dramatically, Halo, not so much, so the muted sound from active camo isn't that big of deal). Jetpacks recharge like no one's business, yet sprint takes so freaking long.

Infection elites get the evade, which doesn't go well with lag at all.

Clashing ANY melee with the sword to survive?

While we're talking about the sword, I lunge and miss entirely too much, go right past my target, and guess what, get assassinated. That and tie a death with a shotgun, or double snipes across the map, etc. Ties are understandable but the window is entirely too huge.

I do like the game, but all these smallish faults(and many more I can't be bothered to rant about) are irksome at times.

See, I dont get this.. The whole point of The Arena is for the hardcore true skill players back on H2 and H3. I have been playing the Arena ALOT.. Also, the game just came out. I mean, they are already working on new playlists, new maps, and taking things in and out of certain playlist and game types here in October.. I mean, I remember when H3 came out alot of crap was messed up.. Win 30 games and go up 1 level, then lose 1 and go down 2... I have been a hardcore Halo fan since the release of Combat Evolved back on the original Xbox. As for the ranking up in this, yeah it can take a bit longer but not much longer then in H3.. 500 wins to get General and that's IF you were a 50.. I have about 100 wins an I hit Major (legit) So, you actually rank up quicker. Also, again, The Arena new system matches you up with your exact competition..

I love Halo Reach and I think Bungie did a great job.

5 becasue of auto aim. My firend got a sticky nade from a rediculously far distance, and the nade bounced off the ground and stuck the other persons ancle.
Gameplay get too boring. Its an achievment game (4 more to go  )
Sprinting is the only good thing in the game, all the other power-ups are way to over powered in 1 way or another. ex Armour lock, can regain health while in this state, and basically be a rock. Copy cat thing is just stupid

9 storyline (wasnt that hard on legendary, just time consuming)
3.5 multiplayer (read above

5 overall

But, that's because you somehow have super hacks to where you can see everyone through a wall using some sort of modded USB stick. How do you do that?

IMO, rank in reach is not supposed to be a representation of skill. It's a demonstration of dedication.

I don't care about a # next to my name. I care that I get matched with like skilled people, but the system can be totally invisible(as it was in Halo 3 social slayer, present but invisible). That stops people from bragging about their #, or dogging on others, generally a more tolerable lobby experience.

As Dew said, if you want that #, go play arena. And yes, Bungie, with halo 3, set the precedent of like a 6-9 month post release beta, as I like to call it. In the real beta, they don't test for much balance or player happiness, they only want to fix bugs for the most part, which is kinda the reason as beta's originated, but so many people played it they should have taken some of that into account. They've changed virtually nothing since the beta and it reflects poorly on them, imo.

It was cool of them to add the pause between melees, but really, they could have just relented on the whole popping the shield bit. They're like that though, stubborn a**h***s who want it a specific way. Halo 3 went to 5v5 because that's what they originally wanted, even though it led to a vastly larger # of team splits(more formula's in a 10 person match will split than a 4v4, mathematicly true, especially if you count it a given that most people play in a group of 2 or 4) and tons of complaints. But they releneted on reach, it's now 4v4 again, go figure.
