When you first look at the title, your properly thinking "Here's a noob asking the same question everyone does". But no, i am talking about timing attack on the CPU. With this attack, you can downgrade to a 1888 backup kernel 'attacking' the microsoft sign in the altered backup kernel. I got this information from free60.net and other sources. I'm not to sure on how to do it, but has anyone in this community done it?

Also, watch this video, its very interesting.

If this is possible, this would reach a whole new level due to unlimited supply of KV's and all consoles being JTAGable.

If I am not mistaken, a time attack to downgrade does not work with any current or past (Meaning more current past updates, as in after the jtag exploit was patched). Time attacking was to downgrade from the kernal update that patched exploiting with KK to boot linux. So then the person could boot linux. This has been discussed already, it is not possible (AFAIK) as of current to downgrade any current/recent kernal updates with this method.

[EDIT]Sorry, skimmed your post and missed you main question. I believe a group of individuals have attempted a while ago. Don't quote me on that, I think I seen something on Xbox-Scene forums about it[EDIT]

[EDIT] Damn, I just keep misinterpreting what you said, need to stop skimming. Anyways, Are you refering to attempting it on an 4xxx kernal or something more current? [EDIT]

This.

I'm sure the dash needs to be at least JTAGable. The 4552 dashboard update took away the ability of doing what your trying to do (well so I think).

there might be a super break through one day, for means of a new JTAG or homebrew, just wait and see, all you can do

Probably why it is a very vague memory then.
