To obtain un selected paint/wheel color/window tint (AKA) unscratched vehicles you must do any of the following:
  • MOD the vehicle on PC using save editor or a mod menu.
  • When modding your vehicle you must use paints that are normally unavailable in LSC.
  • Examples: Worn Seawash, Utility Maui Poly Blue, MP 100 gold.
  • In addition to paints you can also aad pearlescents that aren’t available in LSC which will show as unselected.
  • Examples: Chrome, Pearlescent Steel, Pearlescent Gold aka Secret Gold.
  • Custom crew colors applied with a mod menu or save editor are Unscratched colors as they will show as unselected in LSC.
  • Adding any color to wheels that isn’t available in LSC will also result in unselected wheel color...

  • Examples: Ice White, Pearlescent Gold.
  • You must then create a modded story mode save (PS4 only) with save wizard and resign the save so it is compatible with PS4.
  • You then have to do a SP-MP glitch to bring the car online.
The easier option for both XBox and PS4 would be:
  • Do a GCTF with someone who has already brought modded unscratched cars online.
  • Learn how to “Flip” paint and wheels.
  • Have or create a “Magic Spot”.
  • When you have a magic spot it essentially gives you the ability to Flip unselected mods such as Green Glass/Yanktons.
  • They can also be used to flip Benny’s.
  • Own an Arena Workshop and Purchase a Future Shock Issi.
  • Pearlescent Gold is the stock color of both the Wheels and interior.
  • Purchase a Weaponized Caracara.
  • Ice White is the stock wheel color.
  • Go to the Mod Shop in Paletto Bay.
  • Steal the Green Rat truck that spawns there.
  • Ice white is the stock wheel color.
  • Steal the Sabre Turbo that Spawns at LSC.
  • The stock color is Worn Seawash.
  • In addition you can find many cars with worn colors in Sandy Shores.
  • No worn colors are available in LSC.
  • You can even find Buccaneers all over the map which spawn in worn light blue and worn light orange.
  • There used to be away to do this using iFruit and Charles proxy but I believe it is patched.
When I first began trading cars I found people who were happy to give me unscratched cars.

You should definitely check out Classique Classique ’s threads here:

It isn’t crew color that is considered scratched.
When a car is scratched usually what happens is someone receives an unscratched car via GCTF.
Let’s say the particular car has “3D” paint.
The color will be unselected but will be able to be further modded by the recipient by changing he secondary color to crew.
This might not be easily detected by the untrained eye but the paint texture added by the car’s creator has been removed by changing the crew color.
That’s why the car is scratched in that particular instance.
The texture has been removed.
When you receive a car someone else has modded it may not always be to your liking.
Once it’s yours you should do with it what suits you.
If you are into unscratched cars then by all means keep them that way.
The game has been flooded with the same modded vehicles for quite some time.
There isn’t a whole lot that are truly unique anymore.
The way the hardcore aficionados keep their cars unique is they don’t ever give them away with GCTF.

Hope this all helps.
Any other questions don’t hesitate to ask ?

H8edMods H8edMods this topic already exists.
No need for another thread.
There should be enough clarity in my previous post to answer your questions about what scratched means.
Simply said unscratched means the original paint pearl and texture added by the person who modded the vehicle is still intact.
In addition items like plates window tint wheels and paint will be unselected.
Not everyone cares wether a car is scratched or not:

But even though I can add the wheels, green tint, yankton with my magic slot? Seems like they say its scratched is because you ruined it and it can't be fixed.... like modded paint, someone adds crew or changes it then it can't be changed back. I merge paint from npc cars, or arena cars upgraded or whatever process I use and they change it, its now scratched. Im so lost now and dont know what to believe. I trust everything you've ever told me Davey but wth man lol. Thanks for your help bro. Like always, you are appreciated. P.s. so if I have a scratched car, you're telling me I can add the top metal paint or bottom, then crew and it now is not scratched and has a pearl? It would be selected to anyone in that crew or ever has that color hex as their crew?

That’s not quite it.
When someone gives you a modded car and it is 3D or a worn crew color you have the ability to change the color by applying your crew color to the secondary paint.
It will remove the texture.
It will be scratched.
You can apply pearlescent to these paints.
Simply put When you select something and mod it it is no longer unselected.
When anything unselected is changed to a mod you can select in LSC it is scratched.
Someone recently posted a way to fix this with a magic spot.
Honestly man none of this stuff really matters.
Don’t let people drive you crazy.
Mod cars to your liking and to heck with the obsessive compulsive car geeks.
You know what is a great modded car?
One that you think is a great modded car.
I have taken lots of cars...
I have changed some of them.
I have given lots of cars.
I don’t care what my friends do with them.
One of my friends appreciates my hard work and unselected/unscratched mods.
My other friend hates the paint so he paints the car and scratches it.
Why should I care? it’s their car now.
Anyhow that’s my philosophy about the whole thing.
Some people will argue about this forever.
Don’t worry about all of that stuff.
They take this stuff way too seriously.
It’s a video game.
It’s an opinion.
It’s a compulsion.
None of it matters.

Do you like your cars?
That’s what matters?

Oh and here’s a link to a method that fixes 3D paint:

good luck ?

I want to zone right in on the keyword "xbox" lol.

So I have been learning to create my own cars, my son recently got me to make a baby yoda colour theme - I applied it to an italia gsx with F1 wheels. A lot of people liked it and they all came and took it, fine most people were happy - but in my view it wasn't the perfect unscratched car.

I added green tin and yankton plates from another car, merged to get my own selection of F1 wheels..used my own magic spot to get the "secret gold" interior and also created a matte crew colour using BEFF merge to combine the colours and texture.

So, as I'm told, the crew colour is unselected for the primary (for anyone else but me) so the primary paint seems to be wholly unselected. It still has selected pearlescent and it still has selected (off the shelf actually) secondary + wheels.

I am really interested in your ideas on how to make them unselected, but how do we take only the colours from some of these vehicles? If I had all the mods like yankton/green tint and F1 wheels on a car, but another car simply has some of the colours I want, as per your suggestion, how do we selectively take just the colour or alternatively take everything but don't overwrite the colour?

Then some of your ideas just circle around getting a small selection of specific colours that are unavailable, so how do they make all those weird and wonderful whacky colours and also make the car completely clean? Surely they're not limited to what spawns in the game?

You can make the crew color unselected simply by changing your crew color again.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that it will be more desirable in a trade situation.
Generally speaking having your vehicles unscratched is a personal preference that is only really applicable if you are trading with car fanatics ?

HAha, yeah, and to be honest I couldn't care less if my personal cars were scratched....or if cars traded to me were super scratched, as long as they look good. Cars I make are to please my kids first, then I give them out to anyone who wants them.

It's a technical challenge to me though, and I won't sleep until I find out how I can make my own custom coloured unscratched vehicles haha. I also like to be able to create something, and when I give it out - I can say, yeah it's made to spec and none scratched all that jazz you purists care about.

I can't let it beat me :roflmao:

Well...
There are quite a few cars in game that have unavailable paint already.
Most of them are “worn” meaning they are an unavailable paint and worn texture.
One of my favorite colors is Seawash Green.
You can get it by stealing the Sabre Turbo that spawns at LSC.
You can then put Yanktons and Green glass on it with your magic spot.
It is also a Benny’s car so it will make a perfect donor car once upgraded to Benny’s.

Then there are Buccaneers that spawn in the City that are Worn light blue and bright orange.

If you go to Sandy Shores there are multiple
worn color cars that spawn there.
You want to find Voodoos and Tornadoes.
Also Benny’s upgradable they make good donors.

Here are some of the other worn colors you can find in the cars up there amongst the Voodoos and Tornadoes:
  • Red
  • Blue
  • Green
  • Black
  • Honey Beige
  • White
  • Seawash Green
  • Light Blue

Okay there's actually a lovely grey on a bravado I have stored in my garage until such day I can work out how to get yanktons / etc onto it without affecting the paint work - you can do that with my magic slot?

Well...
It depends on what you have on your magic slot and wether it is a magic spot you made recently or one that was made on Xbox 360 then transferred.
If you made one recently it will work as it normally works for you.
If the paint from your magic spot sticks to the car you save over it I’m afraid it won’t work.
I have OG magic spots that transfer Yanktons and Green Glass only.
I save vehicles over it to give them the yanks and glass.
Then whichever vehicle I used becomes a donor car for merges.
Or at least I did for a long time.
I mostly mod GTA on PC now.

Confused what you are trying to say? OG magic slot? I've used the same one for multiple things like fixing tint and applying yanktons as well, but also wheel color. Purefred posted a video about transferring wheel color, you can find it on youtube. Also, btw...just don't close app on C1, or it won't work. Watch his vid and it'll make sense.
