If I purchase cars from the frozen money glitch, and keep selling them, does it go towards my daily selling limit?
Or what about cars I’ve purchased directly and not duplicated?

The daily sales limit applies to every car that has been stored in one of your garages.

So a friend gave me his issi through a glitch but it had his custom plate on it. He duped it to me several times. I ended up pulling off a clean dupe glitch later and filled up my ceo garage with clean dupes.

The problem is that I ended up selling the ones he duped for me, which I realize now are dirty (im completely new to this and thought since it had his custom plate it would be fine?). I was following the sell limit, and ended up selling 3 of those and one of my clean dupes. When I tried to sell the fifth car it gave me daily sell reached.

Today I tried to sell and it showed me the price, but i didnt sell it. I feel like im in the 1 car club but im not sure what to do or how to know for sure.

Edit: I have also gotten rid of all the cars which have his custom plate on it. I only have the ones in my ceo garage which should all have free elegy plates.

Stop selling cars for a couple of weeks.
Make sure you got rid of all of your friends cars with his plates.

So basically i solo duped an issi with the bunker and facility glitch and i duped using my issi i upgraded the most i can with a custom plate. And my new duped issi has a normal plate. And i want to continue to take advantage of this glitch avoiding the sell limit at the same time. I know how to avoid the sell limit and all i want to know is basically do i sell the duped issi with normal plate? Or do i put a custom plate then sell? Or do i sell my original issi. I prev did the glitch with a vigilante and attempted to sell vigilante but i sold one vigilante and then the duped on or original (i dont recall) only sold for 200k. So thats what i want to avoid. Sorry if i dont make much sense.

Sell your dupes according to the OP of this thread.
Check all plates on your dupes to ensure they aren’t duplicate numbered plates.
If they aren’t duplicate plates you are good to follow the suggested sales pattern as outlined in the OP.

I never sell more than 6 cars in a 30 hour window. I usually either sell 2 dupes at a time with a 3 hour wait in between each sale, or 1 dupe and 1 street car every 1.5hrs until I've sold 6 times. I'm not using custom plates.

So, somehow I think I accidentally sold a game-generated dirty dupe. During a selling session I noticed the sale price was reduced but still sold it anyway figuring it was an older dupe of a less modded car. Then of course after the sale I realized I don't have any of those left and the sale price was actually half of what it should've sold for. Out of curiosity I checked the sale price on a few more cars - all were half price. I stopped selling dupes cuz I didn't want to mess up the account any further. I did steal some street cars and sell those. I was going to either steal & garage 10 street cars, or just buy 10 cheap & different cars. I was going to use those to clear out any dupes from the last personal vehicles sold log. It's been about a month since this happened and I finally decided to try to fix it today. For some reason, the sale price is back to normal. I did *not* do the 10 car thing I planned on doing yet. Why would the sale price go back to normal on its own?

Now I'm wondering how I can figure out which car(s) triggered the dirty dupe(s). If I install iFruit and create a custom plate, can I then take each of my dupes in and see if the change plate option is available? If yes, the dupe is clean. If no, the dupe is dirty. Is that right? I don't want to dupe over everything if most of them are clean cuz that will take too long.

My next question is when it comes to custom plates and selling, do you just create plates like "plate1" to "plate10", apply them to 10 cars, then sell them in order 1 to 10. Apply them to 10 more cars, sell in order, ... rinse & repeat?

  • Check all of your dupes to ensure they don’t have the same plates.
  • You can use different custom plates for your dupes to be safe.
  • Is it possible the dupe you sold was on sale during the time period you sold it?
  • You can check that by looking at social club and checking out past posts to see what had been on sale.
  • If you still have Custom plates available and you didn’t get a daily sales limit it’s more than likely there was a sale on that particular car.
  • I do believe at some certain point the Arena War Issi upgrade was 1/2 off which would have made a considerable difference in the sales price.

I checked the social club and saw the Annis Elegy Retro Custom was on sale recently, possibly around the time I was selling. BUT, it was not on sale when I created the original, nor when I created the dupes. I thought sales only matter when creating originals because the price you paid is logged to the car, and the dupe sale price is based on that logged amount. Is that wrong then? Do sales override sell price even when you paid & duped while it was full price?

I didn't get any messages about a daily sales limit. I installed iFruit, created a custom plate and put it on one of my regular cars just to test if I could or if it wouldn't let me. I did not try making a plate and putting it on a dupe however. If I sell a car with a custom plate on it, what happens to the custom plate?

Nothing happens to the custom plate when sold. It ensures that the game doesn’t catch it as being a dupe.
It sounds like the car you sold was on sale.
When mods are on sale the sales price is automatically decreased during that sales period. It doesn’t matter that you purchased the mods at full price. When there’s a sale the car is worth whatever the sales prices are by default. The price goes back to normal once the sale is over.

Thank you for clarifying that. It's the only thing that makes sense, I just misunderstood how it worked so I didn't think that could be the reason. I now believe everything is fine and it was just a misunderstanding. One good thing that came out of it is I've become religious about keeping track of the generated license plates on cars I'm selling.

How much time will it take to restore my plates after my sell limit ends?
That depends on what exploit level your are currently at.
Your exploit level is determined by how many cars you can sell in a day(30 Hours).
You can determine the best course of reversing this by reading the spoiler contained in the OP(original post) of this thread marked “decreasing your exploit level”.
You need to check all of your dupes to see if you have duplicate game generated license plates.
If you do you need to save over all of them and start fresh.
If for whatever reason you can only sell one car per 30 hours you will never have use of custom plates or be able to sell more than one car a day again.

I cleaned all my dupes through facility glitch and also sold 6 to 7 cars over 2 to 3 days without any sell limit. Its also been a week since my sell limit was removed

Have you received any cars via GCTF? or have you merged any cars?
Do you have any dupes or GCTF car with license plates that you can’t see like a Vigilante?
If you sold any cars like that it can also block you from using your custom plates.
