[ QUOTE="ValidSpider, post: 14064698, member: 918170"]I have a question guys can't seem to find the answer. I know about the limit of cars to sell and that plates should be different etc.

But if you sell the same model of car with completely different generic plates, that you have bought legitimately, will you increase your exploit level if you sell more than the 1/2 per hour?[/QUOTE]

All personal vehicles fall under the same sell rules no matter how you acquired them.

Yes. Sell limits apply to all cars

as in, if you sell multiple vehicles with the blank plate, can you be dupe detected or can the blank plates be dirty?

Your blank plates should not show up as dirty. If you dupe a car with blank plates take the dupe to a mod shop. If you have the option to change it to your custom plate it is not dirty. If you only get the option to change the plate color it is dirty. You should save over the car with the dirty plates and put another of your custom plates on the original before you being duping again.

A plate can be dirty for 2 reasons. First, if u have more than one car with the same plate # that is not a custom plate. Second if u have a custom plate on any car and that plate is not one u own in ifruit. In either case, those plates will be dirty.

TLDR:
are custom plates safer or just easier to keep track of?
is duping a dupe dangerous?

If you keep track off all plates, making sure you never have the same plate on separate vehicles, is this just as safe as duping/selling a vehicle with a custom plate? I don't totally grasp the need for custom plates other than making it easier to keep everything organized and help ensure you're not selling a "dirty" dupe.

Secondly, I think I'm duping duped vehicles and not the original over and over. Is this not recommended? I'm using the MOC/Facility glitch so when I end up back in the MOC, this is a dupe and I rinse and repeat with it.

I have filled three garages doing this. I made sure there are no matching plates. I have sold four vehicles, two + hours apart, but no clue what their plate numbers were, so hoping none were dirty. Does anyone see anything wrong with my process so far?

Using Custom plates when duping ensures your dupes won’t be “dirty”.
“Dirty dupes” are cars that have identical alpha numeric plates.
If you sell dirty dupes you will immediately be given a daily sales limit and your custom plates will be locked.
It is safe to continue to dupe as the glitch you are using results in “clean” plates.
Going forward you need to be aware of that.
Whether or not the glitch produces clean or dirty plates. If it produces dirty plates then you will need to have a custom plate on the original vehicle.

You should use the original consistently as the value may decrease on the dupe when you duplicate using a “duped” vehicle.

Be sure to understand the current suggested sales pattern of:
1 car per hour
7 cars per 30 hours
These values of course are in real time.
You can sell 2 cars back to back but never sell 3 in a two hour period as it will get you flagged by Rockstar.
It is safe to dupe as long as you follow these guidelines.

Okay Navy, thanks for the info.

One more quick question -- I've seen a few ppl advise having different models of vehicles to dupe and rotate the vehicles you sell. Do you believe in this method to reduce the chance of dupe detection?

Not really.
The best way to avoid dupe detection is:
  • Follow the suggested sales pattern.
  • Always check your plates.
As I previously stated some glitches don’t require custom plates but it’s easier in my perspective to always use them as it cuts out any doubt or mistakes.

what do you do when you've accidentally sold 20 in the past hour
Stop selling immediately. Don’t sell any for at least a week. The damage is done at this point. Cross your fingers and hope you don’t end up in the repeat cap offender category.
You may have earned yourself a one way ticket to the one car a day club.

Navy Davey Navy Davey I'm new to duping and i have a question, so i've done 8 custom plates easily numbered to keep track when selling, i wonder however if i can sell dupes like a normal car, because i saw a dupe glitch guide and that dude close his internet connection everytime he sold a dupe. Also does color matter on the plates or is it just the number?.
