hey, so i got the console to boot once into xell. i got the cpu key and stuff. it was hard to do as it burnt off the rst pad accidentally so i tried an alt one and just held it there with my finger and it booted staighted into xell. so i got the cpu key there. so i soldered the rst onto that point. console will nto boot. greenlight on console is flashing and greenlight on chip is flashing, tried different timing files.. when i boot it without the hdmi plugged in it gets 3 red lights but when its plugged in its fine.. it just wont boot. Please someone help me..

The first thing to always try is to connect an HDD and boot.

Will do, i ended up rewriting the image with the cpu key but i think i ****ed up and somehow selected 512mb instead of 256mb.. because when i load in my original nand it changes to 256mb and the current on the xbox is 512..

So just going to try redo that properly. put xell image on it and try it again.

Can you post pics of your wire install. To make sure they are not bridged to anything else.

Also post the rrod (1, 2, 3 or 4 lights) and your secondary error code. You can get that by pressing the eject and sync button at the same time, 4 times. The error code can be something like 0022 where 4 leds means 0 and 2 leds means 2. Same for 1 and 3, the number of leds is the number.

Got rid of all the wires and extra solder to make sure theres no bridging. Im getting the 0022 error.. I just realized my soldering iron is not esd safe, so i've bought another one which is. The 2 consoles I used the soldering iron on both got red lights with everything done correctly. What makes me think it is the soldering iron is the fact i held the rst wire in place without soldering it and it booted into xell so i thought it was all good. so i unplugged everything and soldered it to that spot then tried to boot the console and it wouldn't boot anymore.. EDIT: Also ended up trying 2 alternative points for the rst after burning the pad on the back off.

Until right now, I had no clue what esd safe meant and I have been soldering for almost 10 years. You may have accidentally bridged something and then powered it up causing damage to the chip. Or you may have messed up the nand and caused the error.

Its most likely i bridged something. I've got 4 backups of the original nand and they dont work. :frown:
