So I won the podium car last night and wondered what it was worth. After looking online and seeing it was not for sale(Shlagan GT) I took it to LSC and got the "Sorry, you can't sell cars worth over 50k" message.

I thought "Oh no, they're on to me" but wait, how can that be. I've only sold 8 of my dups in a 48 hr period, each with a different custom plate and 4-6 hrs apart.

Some spelunking was in order. First I went to the Arena to see if I got that message on my dups but no, still listing at 1mil. Then I summoned my RE-7B and that listed at 1.5 stock. I had seen people posting about this message before in dup threads but couldn't remember which ones. Looked around and it was mainly the GCTF glitch.

Then it dawned on me, the important aspect of the free car that you overwrite with your dups is the bill of sale. If you recieve it as a gift or you steal it that bill of sale doesn't exist and R* prevents you from selling it.

Makes me think about the DLC I have that changes 6 cars in the stores to free and if there is some way to get around that to be able to apply their non-Slip value to them or dups and sell them.

I arrived at this line of thought because a few days ago when Social Club went down it kept asking me to attach the dlc to my account before logging on.

That makes me wonder if there is some way to detach the DLC and sell the stuff gotten for free with it attatched.

The time between doesnt matter at all in my experience. When i dupe alot i make mistakes because my brain is turned off so i drive to the garage instead of the moc(vids and podcasts on) and i do a dupe in 2 min and 40 sec when i am focused (full round). Fps seems important (i had troubles in the rain with max settings) and your internet connection (resetting router helped someone)

I dupe in a friends, invite and emptied public lobbys with the same results. I use 2 bikes (one stays in the moc and they switch place all the time)

Fastest way for me at the Arana is using Davis 6-garage and fill every slot with Elegys. Also in Arena garage 1 and 2 so you can drive a dupe right back to the arena and switch it with a fresh Elegy (they always switch with the car you want to park in the full garage) i dont use the workshop garage for storing dupes because i am afraid to sell my original. Using this method you can do 18 dupes a session.

When both Arena garages are full i use the 2 garages around the airport. Fill it up with Elegys and drive the dupes to there so they switch and after that its Alta appartments/office garage/Integrity way. Thats how i set up my second char so i can buy normal cars on my main.

I had never luck with moving my moc at the Arena but i will have another go tonight because that would make it under 2 minutes.

Are you sure your Ifruit app and Rockstar social are linked with your pc account? I had the PS4 version before so i couldnt see my PC char in Ifuit earlier.

I don't think it matter much as the base price of the car is changed to a free Elegy so only the upgrades matter. Its max 1 mil on pc so in theory you should mod a Issi so much that it sells for around 1.3 (original one and dont sell it/just test it ) so that your dupe will sell for that 1 mil. If the dupes price is lower you have to upgrade the original.
Issi dupes work a treat 1 mill per dupe thanks for your help I have 10 custom plates and I sell the dupe 1 an hour upto 7 then wait 30hrs and start again seems to be cool at the moment ...

I filled a couple garages using this glitch, but now I'm running into a problem I haven't seen mentioned here.

On the final step, after ordering a new Elegy and driving into the garage, I don't get the "garage full" alert but instead go through the normal entering animation. The dupe appears for a second, then disappears, and finally reverts to an elegy after changing sessions. I've tried again and again, but I get this same result.

However, at the start of a session, I can typically complete a single dupe this way, with the proper "garage full" notification. After that, my character just drives into the garage normally and thus the dupe doesn't stick, no matter how many times I attempt it.

I've done it successfully at least 30 times, and I'm not doing anything differently here, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Are you getting the garage full alert when buying the elegy? Sounds like your replacing the wrong car.

Edit: been a couple days since I tried this one but now I can't even get to bike to disappear. Doesn't necessarily mean it's been patched and is likely because my framerate keeps dropping when I exit the MOC. I'll keep trying and report back if I can get it to go off.

Edit 2: I got it to go off and the dup works as normal. Replace car alert both times and issue persists as not insured after reload.

Why i have a feeling after 200 dupes that you guys do another dupe then me? Finding a bike? Why? What i do is drive the bike into the moc and it stays there till i drive another bike in to it for the next dupe. Watch the vid on page 3 (scroll down). someone did a excellent job of showing how it should be done. You dont have to find anything and you dont have to blow cars up.
Maybe it's different with the Arena and facility dupes? I don't own the arena, so that video doesn't really apply to me, as it seems.

I had this issue as well. Make sure your calling your mechanic and selecting an elegy first. Than drive over to your garage and simply order a new elegy, replace the one you called out before and then drive inside. While doing it this way I've never run into this issue again and always get the garage is full. Only happened to me sometimes when following the original OP method and trying to rush the mechanic and immediately opening the internet and ordering an elegy after before driving immediately driving in. I'll check out if its still working this way for me as last I tried was 2 days ago.

Edit: btw im using the arena in case that makes a difference?

I'm using the zancudo facility and a route 68 six car garage. I dont call the mechanic until I'm parked in front of the garage because if I end up in the water or an npc pulls me out of the car I can't lose the dupe. I order the elegy immediately after calling the mechanic and it works every time.

Like I said, I get the garage full alert on the first attempt in a session, but after that I only get the entering animation no matter what I do. Nothing changes between the first attempt and the second, yet only the first attempt is successful. I also know I'm not replacing the wrong car, as each Elegy is a separate color. Before doing the glitch, I called one out to confirm it was the correct one, then replaced it with another to confirm I was replacing the correct one.

Yep, that's exactly what I'm doing. I filled a couple garages successfully over a couple days before running into this issue, so I know I'm not missing any steps. It's odd that the first attempt is always successful, but after starting a new session I can't get it to work using the exact same steps.

That's where our methods differ. I do all of the dups for a single garage in the same session. Also on using street cars and just starting at the top of the mechanic's list and working my way down. No guess work on which car is which. I'm only working with one 6 car garage but I filled it 4 times yesterday.

I read somewhere that you're supposed to leave the session before the replacement elegy gets delivered, otherwise they wouldn't stick once you quit the game (or something along those lines), but I see now that wasn't accurate. I'm able to fill a garage in a single session without issue.

By the way, as for the issue I was having before, I think I've fixed it. Before I would call the mechanic AND order the replacement Elegy directly across the street from the Davis garage, then drive in.

Now, I still call the mechanic across the street, but then I drive as close to the garage entrance as possible without actually entering, THEN purchase the replacement Elegy and immediately drive inside.

With this incredibly small change, it seems I can now hit the dupe consistently again. Still not sure why it was working before without this extra step, but what can you do...that's glitching for ya.

I pull up right to the garage and do both back to back as quickly as possible. Not that its required mind you it's just the fastest way possible.

SIDE NOTE:noticed something interesting when I traveled across the map using my custom job in invite only and actually starting the job and quitting in the lobby with the intention of refreshing the session(saving time from creator)...the session persisted. So that means custom land race jobs load into same session when alone in invite only.

Edit: nope I was mistaken, only the initial state of the dup(still insured) persists across the sessions when jumping into and out of a job. The mechanic glitched state however doesn't persist. Oddly enough the car under map glitched state with no pause menu does persist.

You HAVE to use an arena vehicle that is fully upgraded. You can use the slamvan, dominator, impaler, issi or gargoyle.

PC is limited to the resale if upgrades only at a max of 1mil. These are the only vehicles that have enough upgrades to reach that 1 mil threshold.

Now having said that you can dup any car that fits in a normal garage so you can build any car, dup it then sell the original to get a large chunk of the money back.

Oh and you can dup a dup so there really isn't any need to keep any of your originals.

Edit: couple notes
1: get bullet proof tires on the slam van BEFORE you convert it to an arena vehicle or else you wont be able to
2: you WILL have to insure your dups if you intend to keep them

Ah.. no wonder. I have been duping regulars, like the FMJs and whatnot. So for it to work, I MUST sell Arena or Benny vehicles?

Also, is it actually safe to sell the original? I always feel like its so unsafe to sell it, I dont know why

Yes, there is actually no limit or detection system in place for originals. I've sold 5 of them back to back with no problem. Yesterday I did the stromberg, deluxo, re7b, x80 proto and slam van.

Is it still possible to store a slam van on PC without mods, if so would you be able to share?

I'm afraid I dont understand the question.

Oh forgive me I was thinking "lost slamvan", the one from gang missions and the like that was recently un-blacklisted and it is an extremely rare chance win on the mystery gift casino wheel prize
