Solved Borderlands 2 Gibbed Save Editor issue

Hello there, I've recently started getting into the modding genre. Since I am fairly new to this, it's expected for mistakes and misunderstandings. The issue i have right now, is with the Gibbed Save Editor for BL2. I know the basic use of Horizon, for which I am currently using. I have downloaded the Gibbed Save Editor multiple times and when I try to open it, I keep getting this Error box.


Help me understand this and what shall I do to get it working?

Okay man listen github.com/gibbed/Gibbed.Borderlands2/releases/tag/1.0.16
I got my Gibbed menu from this link,when you get there scroll down a little and you will see a few download files. For the best result your gonna wanna click on (bl2_saveedit_1.0.16_with-debug-symbols.zip) That's the one that works the best, fastest, and has the most options when working with modding your save files and comes pre loaded with debug stuff but you don't really need to worry about all that. Now once it's downloaded put it on your desktop once it's on your desktop right click the file, then if you have winrar you can just click extract to bl2_saveedit_1.0.16_with-debug-symbols. If your gonna use 7zip it's basically the same thing. Right click the file then click "or" hold your mouse on the 7zip button and then press extract to "bl2_saveedit_1.0.16_with-debug-symbols/"

The only program in that folder that you have to worry about is the one with HANDSOME JACK on it the program should be named Gibbed.Borderlands2.SaveEdit "AGAIN" That file name with HANDSOME JACK next to it.

After that it should say something like click this link to bring you to your download and it should bring you to a Media Fire File, once downloaded place it on your desktop and repeat what you did for your Gibbed menu and it should work. NOTE it also will have a few extra files in with the folder the one you have to click is James Reborn's Hybrid Creator v3.2 with a gun for the icon. If the whole captcha thing doesn't happen it will just bring you to the Media Fire page where the download will be. Also I want to warn you if you have good virus protection it might detect it as a threat. I've been using this program for a while and have analyzed it very thoroughly and have not had a single problem with it, I actually use the damn thing every day to make stuff lol. The gibbed menu has the parts but its much easier to copy and paste parts into the Gibbed menu if you are trying to make modded weapons. I got my Gibbed menu from this link,when you get there scroll down a little and you will see a few download files. For the best result your gonna wanna click on (bl2_saveedit_1.0.16_with-debug-symbols.zip) That's the one that works the best, fastest, and has the most options when working with modding your save files and comes pre loaded with debug stuff but you don't really need to worry about all that. Now once it's downloaded put it on your desktop once it's on your desktop right click the file, then if you have winrar you can just click extract to bl2_saveedit_1.0.16_with-debug-symbols. If your gonna use 7zip it's basically the same thing. Right click the file then click "or" hold your mouse on the 7zip button and then press extract to "bl2_saveedit_1.0.16_with-debug-symbols/"

Hello there, I've recently started getting into the modding genre. Since I am fairly new to this, it's expected for mistakes and misunderstandings. The issue i have right now, is with the Gibbed Save Editor for BL2. I know the basic use of Horizon, for which I am currently using. I have downloaded the Gibbed Save Editor multiple times and when I try to open it, I keep getting this Error box.

Try to open the save in easy player data and look for the heads and skins. Make sure to phrase the save by typing -p inside of the decryption method. If you want send the save to me in DMs and i'll look at it for you :wink:
