So, I recently built my first gaming PC (Ryzen based), but when I got onto my PS4 after a few months of hardcore CS:GO, my account was logged out; I tried to log back in, but it said that my account was banned from PSN. I thought of the time around 8 months ago when Sony charged me money for no reason, so I guess that could be a possibility? Anyways, I just forget about it and 2 weeks later I make a new PSN account, but when I try signing into it, it just says that my PS4 system is banned. I tried contacting PSN, but they are no help whatsoever. Like always. So i have no idea on what to do right now, because what I'm thinking is to either sell it, or just take the 2 TB hard drive I have in it and leave it there.

If you was charged by sony and you didn't pay it that's likely the reason why you're system is banned. somebody will still buy it for parts i guess :/

EDIT: You should have a email from them about the ban with a reaosn.

That's correct best thing for you to do is sell it then buy another. replacing the mainboard won't be easy unless you know what you're doing.

Write a bad review on the BBB (Better business bureau) explaining your situation. They will get back to you.

Well, why would anybody want to buy a banned PS4? And if I say that it's not banned that would be fraud.

UPDATE: I just called PSN, and they said that I violated the ToS (terms of service), and I assume that it was for the chargeback from them and the refund from the credit card company. (I didn't buy anything on any account that's on my PS4 or any PS4 that my account is on) The operator said that I should contact the EU PSN number, so I will when I have the time and when I get some more info from the Terms of Service page on the Sony website. Replacing the motherboard might have been a viable option if my mom doesn't want me spending any more money on that "horrible company". another thing that might have happened is that someone hacked into my PSN account (it's happened before) and stolen the credit card info that was in my account, and then used it in their PS4 or account; this is still all a tad confusing on my part, because it all happened without any notification from PSN, and I didn't have any control in this matter. This is disgraceful on Sony's side, because I didn't receive any e-mail from PSN that said the reason of the ban, so I had to call, and they won't even tell me the specific reason of the ban, so I have to just assume. Any response will be greatly appreciated.
PS: I don't recommend replacing anything in a PS4 system, because it will 99% void the warranty, and as you see from this situation, you might not want to do that in case you have to sell the system.

Ok, so I just found this, but I have a model CUH-1216B, and this is a 1216A, so I don't know if there really is a difference, and it doesn't say that it was banned. Should I buy?

I wouldn't bother replacing the motherboard, you're better off buying another full console!

Also, before you do that, be persistent with PSN support and refuse to take no for an answer, be respectful and polite, and you will get somewhere. You're probably going to need to look through your account history to see if the charge was legit or not, and also credit card statements help a ton.

You shouldn't have been console banned for that though, and they must give you a reason or you can take legal action for unfair banning of a console and account and refusing to disclose reason. Threaten any company with legal action if you're in the right and watch how quick they change their minds...

Sony wouldn't have charged him for no reason and console banned him i'm pretty sure he knows the reason but won't say it here.

I know this, It would land sony in hot water if they did that. Chances are he tried charging back on an item he brought legit and they've banned his account and console because he's a repeat offender. But, We must give him the benefit of doubt.

Ok so, my account history doesn't have anything that I bought with a credit card and that comes up to the sum of money that my mom's credit card got charged.
The console was banned for "violating terms of service" and my account isn't banned, so I can clearly check my charge history whenever I want to to prove to PSN that I haven't bought anything.

Why in the Hell would I not say it here??? It's a thread that I opened to get help specifically to unban my PS4. If there was something that I did and I'm not telling you then I would take responsability of my actions and kept the system ban!

I didn't buy anything at all, legit or not, so my account has been unbanned after a day of it being banned, probably because they realized that I haven't purchased anything on there. And what do you mean "I'm a repeated offended"? What do you people think I do? Try to scam a multi-billionaire company? Of course not!!
