Still works. You're probably picking the wrong person to join back on. I tend to pick a low level and stay on his character until it starts to make sure he doesn't leave.

I have 2 PS4's and tv's and Red Dead accounts side by side. How could I get in solo lobby for 1 of my characters quickest?

Definitely not patched. Still works flawlessly on PS4, very nice, thanks HEAPS Eddie Mac, excellent.

I originally liked the previously patched Free Mode event method better as it was like 2 steps less but now I like this method MUCH more, main reason being ofcourse is not having to wait for Free Mode events to pop up.

Eddie Mac can I just add something to your instructions (not really add but take away), maybe you already know I'm not sure so I'll let the others know this :

When you join the game mode of your choice & you take "note" of player's names in that game, the instructions & video say to "quit to free-roam" BUT you can actually save a whole loading step/time by NOT quitting to Free Roam but instead joining the friend/community player's session straight from the game mode you're in, very nice & quick.

I have 2 PS4's and tv's and Red Dead accounts side by side. How could I get in solo lobby for 1 of my characters quickest?

lol there's no point of mentioning 2 characters tv bla bla if you just want 1 character in solo lobby, & EVEN if you want both in the same solo lobby, you'd still do it the same way. So 1 character makes solo lobby, then forms their Posse, & other character joins the other's Posse, IF that doesn't work which it usually does, then you Join Session from PS Friends list.

Updated Instructions (saves 1 step of loading).

** Join any game mode. (Gun Rush seems to never fail me).
** When in game mode, open Player's Menu, go to Players & take note of a few players names, 1 or 2.
** Stay in the game mode, make a PS Shortcut to a friend OR community player's game AND join it.
** When joined, open Player's Menu, go to Players then go to the "Recent Players" list.
** In the Recent Players list find a player's name that you noted/played with from your previous game mode.
** When you find a player click into their name & you will see "Join Session".
** Now AS SOON AS you hit "Join Session" use your PS Shortcut to QUICKLY also join the friend or community player's game that you're already in Free Roam with. (The same friend or community player in your current game that we just joined.) DONE. It should straight away say "You are already a member of this Red Dead Online session.".

Players should disappear from your radar & animals in your game should disappear in less than 10 seconds max after that message. (Animals only disappear temporarily don't panic). Now you'll also notice in your Nearby Players list that you're connected back to the game mode you were first in. Wait a few minutes & the players will disappear leaving you in your solo game.

Also if you just launched Red Dead & you want to go straight into this solo lobby, join a game mode first & don't worry about taking notes or remembering players names in the game mode because they're going to be the only ones listed in your Recent Players list.

Eddie Mac again thanx bro! We've really been enjoying your Solo Free Roams, friends join the game no problem too so nice. This method is quick & reliable.

Simply block ports 30211-30217 for about 2 minutes and you will have a complete lobby to yourself. (Xbox one)
Honestly though another month or so and its likely they will just be empty on their own anyway.

Thanks and yeah I usually do that (join a friend or the community player right away) and not sure why i had made the video like this lmao but I can't change the video now so I will leave it as is but I am sure everyone can figure that part out and if not its only like 10 seconds longer  well worth it in the end.

Either use the settings in your modem/router or use wireshark.
Blocking ports will not do anything to your display video.
(Yeah I know you are asking if there is a video for this method but thats not how you worded it. And holy f*** use google there really doesnt need to be a video instructional on everything. Why does everyone need their hand held through everything?)
Im sure if you go to google and type port blocking you will populate a search. I am sure if you select the video tab there will be youtube videos on port blocking. Wireshark makes it easier because you can block then unblock real fast. So route your console through a laptop (google a video for this) then use wireshark and have your connection on wifi through the laptop (google sharing connection between xbox one and pc) (google a video for wireshark) (google a video for port blocking with wireshark)
(Google xbox one open ports for rdr2)
Im honestly not trying to be an a$$ (yeah I am) its a couple of google searches and you are on your way.
Blocking ports is faster and easier than using a bug to get an empty lobby. And once you have set it up its just a matter of googling open ports xbox one for [insert game name here] and now you can empty a lobby on any game you want.
You can filter these ports with wireshark and cause other players to freeze so you can head shot them. And they will never be able to hit you because you will always be bouncing back a few yards from the lag.
We do this in call of duty titles and pubg and many other titles.

Are you blocking incoming traffic (from WAN to Xbox) on those ports, or outgoing (Xbox to WAN) or both?
When you say “2 minutes” when do you start blocking? After you’re in a normal lobby?

Block it to and from xbox. Get in public lobby then block. Go too long and you will be booted off.
So with xbox test nat it checks to see if ports are open. During the check it blocks then unblocks each port. On gta this is good enough to empty the lobby. On rdr we need more time. 2 minutes may be too long for some. Not long enough for others.
So block them until you see people leaving the lobby then stop blocking. If you want solo lobby block all rdr ports except the xbl ports. If you want to dabble around with lag cheating then alternate blocking incoming and outgoing on one port at a time. Find what works best and dominate the lobby. To others you will appear as if you are warping. On your screen others will freeze allowing you to pop a headshot off without getting hit.
If you are careful in gta racing you can do this as well and to others you will appear warping in front of them. To you they stopped and you passed them.
BTW there is no patch for this method of solo lobby. And its the most consistent.

The average user on here would not understand how to do this even with google searching and not sure why you don't understand that. There is no need to be rude about something people don't use. I understand wireshare back from my PS3 modding days but i am sure most on here Have no clue how to use it or what it was before reading your post. Appreciate you posting but again the whole being rude and coming off as an a$$ is not needed. Also yes this is nice as it is a different way to get into a solo lobby without the need of any other players but no this is not easier in any way and the glitch does not take 2 mins to get into so I have no clue why you would compare the two there but to each their own. After this lets just stay on topic to the thread as that is what people are here for  Thanks for the post tho
If anyone would like to PM him about wireshark do that but this thread is not for that, thanks

I have to be doing something wrong because I can’t get this to work on Xbox. This isn’t for PS users only, right?

Thanks for that tip, you saved me some time.

You can get it working on Xbox since Xbox does not have a shortcut option timing is critical on Xbox you need to have a person playing gun rush or whatever game mode you are using and you need a friend in the same free roam session with you. When you hit left on d-pad and on the player menu find the name of the person playing gun rush and click on that and hover over the join session but do not click on it yet. Ask your friend on the same free roam session with you to send you an invite to the free roam session both of you guys are currently on. When you see that invite pop up on your screen hit A to join session to the person in gun rush and right after you hit A (like almost at the same time but a millisecond after the timing of this is critical for it to work you need to do it as fast as possible after hitting A to join session on the person playing the game mode) hold Xbox button to accept the invite your friend sent you. If you did everything correctly you should get an error message saying you are already a member of this session. After that point you should be disappearing from the free roam session you were in and join a new free roam session which only has the players that is playing gun rush and when this gun rush game ends you should have your solo lobby.
