Agreed.

As far as I'm concerned, it's far too early to say things like "a waste money" - free content, included in the asking price or whatever. This game is in its infancy - it's arguable whether or not its still in its Beta phase or it was just easier to say that rather than release an already delayed yet more 'complete' Online world at a later date when it was fully developed.

For what it is though, I still don't find it that boring. It is what it is. People can complain about the lack of immersion or alternative game modes but they'd probably complain if it was as punishing as I (and probably R* too) wanted it to be.

You can't ask for 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford' and 'Back to the Future 3'. I challenge anybody who finds the game boring to watch both of those films and see which they give up on first.
Why do you care if people don’t like it did you make the game ? Online is boring af worst online game I have played already uninstalled after finishing story and epilogue

there will always be a few minority who blindly ignore all the faults of the game and proudly claim that its good even though its not.

What you think and what you know are not the same thing, and I don't go into the game liking it with any degree of blindness. You've undermined most of your points anyway and I think you do it even further by proclaiming something as fact when it's nothing more than an opinion.

The fact is, some like it despite whatever bugs you think exist and whatever modes you think it lacks.

I think at the end of the day, this thread is about whether or not you think the game is boring. It's not about whether you think it's broken, and you certainly haven't made a salient case that the game is boring because it's broken.

That said, even if you did, you're here on this forum to exploit the "broken" elements of the game in the form of glitches (as we all are) so if on one hand you complain about how garbage the game is because its "broken", I call you out on being a hypocrite when you no doubt take full advantage of the glitches that make the game so very playable.

I dont mind the glitches where you can farm gold or get lots of money, what i do mind is when the game mechanics are fundamentally broken, not exploits for cash. They are two different things. My problem is with the specific issues which make the game unplayable in terms of its mechanics not exploitation. I've spent over $700 on gta online during its course, and also glitched the hell out of the dupes. I gave real money to support the new dlcs while I did glitching mainly cuz its fun. I wouldnt have spent real money on the game if in pvp, i was being spawned in the middle of enemy territory or they spawned behind me. Different bugs exist, some which let you exploit the game and others which break the game mechanics. I like the former but not the latter. there's nothing to exploit when enemies spawn behind you, or your horse bonding downgrades, or its cores stay red no matter what. But obv, it'll be hard to explain the differences between them to your highly intellectual and complex brain.

I think the frustration you feel is more with yourself perhaps being a bit pretentious in trying to make a point that doesn't actually exist, or creating arguments out of thin air with somebody who actually is smarter than you but you just can't bring yourself to admit there's nothing wrong in my logic. I don't focus on anything related to bugs but I never disputed that they exist because this thread isn't about bugs, nor even imply they are figments of your imagination. I simply live with them as a means of getting on with a game that I otherwise don't find boring for reasons I think I've stated. This is a thread that plainly asks if you think the game is boring or not. I said no. You said yes. And, really, that's where it ends.

There is nothing more to get frustrated about.

I think the multiplayer lacks some serious content unlike GTA. I feel rockstar needs to keep working on their dlc's to ensure we stay happy online!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Online portion of this game is absolute sh*t right now. Along with the fact that I had just put 70+ hours into Story mode before the Online 'beta' came out... it was almost immediately boring and grindy to me. That being said, when it first came out I still forced myself to put some time into it because I was expecting some better glitches to come out fairly quickly (that never did), but I was also thinking there would be some kind of update released sooner.

Now, being Jan. 9th... it's been over a month since I've even turned on RDR2, except for 2 minutes to claim some of the free monies R* has been giving out. I'm legitimately waiting for them to drop whatever sort of update they have planned and have mentioned on their newswire that will finally add private sessions, mechanics to combat grieving, etc. Imho, there's no point wasting your time playing the Online portion until then. Unless you're just one of those type of people that enjoys forced, sh*tty PvP that caters to those who paid extra money when preordering to get OP gear from the start.

Lol I'd just like too play online had 2 hrs of errors earlier constantly trying too get into freeroam too get error after error. I gave up in the end total waste of time. Now I've got a problem maybe anyone here can help me out, the bonus ultimate edition mission Rhodes bank robbery won't load up replaying the mission, it just sticks on the loading wheel, has anyone else got the same issue? I know it's off topic sorry about that

To be honest, I haven't found the game boring because of not having private sessions, or getting any grief from people. I can count on my hands how many shootouts I've had with people and none of them lasted more than 20 or 30 seconds.

One of the aspects of this game I love is the fact the map is so large and due to its size, its very seldom I've come into contact with other players and those who have, don't want a fight. Its remarkably peaceful. Because of this, I can't see much point in your typical OTR or Wallbreach glitches, unless they're for easy awards. So similarly for me, private sessions are redundant.

The most boring part im finding is having to run back and forward to stables to constantly feed my horse who’s cores are buggered even after the update horse cores are still broken back to gta for me least you don’t have to refuel your cars

I find the game a bit boring at this point. But i also see the potential and realize they have created a platform that can go in a lot of directions. So i am happy to grind away and enjoy it. By doing it this way, as they did in gta, they keep a game relevant for years. I own a bunch of games that are played for 6 months then done. Think how many call of duty games u own! Each game has a life span of about a year. But not gta and rdr2. It will be interesting to look back on this in about 3 years and see how complex this game has become.

Put simply, its too early to call it boring or brilliant. For what it is, I'm happy enough grinding away and doing whatever the hell it is I do in the game and it gives me an investment for the future when I play a more complete game whilst everybody else switches off. In the meantime, I can make money, I can unlock 'things', I can also make guides for people who ask for help.

If it gets to GTA proportions (which it probably won't because I think a lot more people like the more modern setting) then there's a lot to come and there'll be people 2 or 3 years down the road wanting to pick it up for the first time. It's a slow burner. People don't seem to 'get' that.

Online is boring as hell plain and simple, nobody wants to do showdowns for 6 damn hours straight. Hunting feels more like a chore then anything, but of course the fan boys will defend this to the death. Also the whole ability card thing is so stupid, i mean it already takes minimal skill to be good at this game. But then we have the ability cards where you're damn near god like. I know it's early, but I don't see rdr2 online having the same level of success as GTA 5 online.

It won't. I know this even though it is early days, and it's because there's a lot more appeal to GTA. Modern setting, pop culture references, faster cars, faster guns, more up to date outfits... the list goes on. The debate has been had about why people think the game is boring in it's current form, but beyond this, the sort of person GTA appeals to as well for the reasons I've stated - is not going to be ever be the sort of person this kind of game appeals to because it's an entirely different kettle of fish. This isn't a game for the 'want it here, now, yesterday' type of person.

Due to the time frame of this game(late 1880s) they are limited to tech available in the 1880s. So no planes, cars, tanks, machine guns, night clubs, etc. I agree with Marc the Robot Marc the Robot that this game wont have as broad appeal as gta

There is still some potential opportunities.
Longer complex missions, heist like bank robberies, running a brothel lol, gambling on riverboat casinos.
Will be interesting to see what develops.
If they go down the battle royale like fortshite then I think the game will die out.

That and making the game unbelievable. The last thing I'd ask for is a flying unicorn with a gatling gun attachment and light up hooves. I don't want it to look like 'Billie Jean' every time I trot into Valentine.
