Yes it is. I have many custom plates but one in particular is my go to.
I have that plate on every dupe across 12 accounts on PS4 Xbox and PC.
In the several years that I have been duping I haven’t had any issues using one custom plate.
Thanks !! I’ll try that now  so when I am about to sell the car. Should I change the color of the plate or I can leave the same text on and same color on?

Plate color has absolutely no bearing.
Leave the plate on the vehicle and make no changes. What you need to be careful of is how many vehicles you sell in an hour and in a day. 2 per hour and no more than 8 per day to stay safe.

But what about the list with the last seven sales with vehicle ID + text plate? I'm talking about custom plates, generics as long the car is not dirty, shouldn't be an issue.

Correct. My own practice is to not sell more than 3 a day. Sometimes I don’t sell anything at all. I have been duping for quite a while and am not in desperate need for money. This practice is well within the current sales criteria. If your plan is to sell the maximum each day it can be in your best interest to change the custom plate on your vehicle. I have trained myself to not over sell. In general I don’t sell until a month or so before a DLC is released so that I can have an appropriate amount of money in the bank. The real key to being successful when duping is to not be greedy. Sure it’s difficult to do when you first start out but it’s in your best interest to be of that mindset. I have been around since before there was a daily limit and have fallen into the traps set by Rockstar.
Greed is what will put you in the one car a day club for certain:wink:

Okay so I'm a little lost here, I've read the whole thread including the warning and if I'm not mistaken this is what I can do with my cars I just duped in the recent MOC glitch:

Sell 1 car every 35 (to be safe I say 35) minutes

Don't go over 3 cars in 24 hours?

And my retro custom is worth 876k, fully upgraded (seems low), I have duped the retro twice before, this is my first time filling 3 office garages with retros. I sold 3 retros today 1 hour apart, and want to know what I can safely sell. I don't believe I've hit any limits.

Thanks for any clarification I may receive

That wasn't my intention, and btw I sell 2 a day at most, then stop for at least one or two days, without selling anything.
I was talking about the changes introduced in August, about the game tracking your last 7 sales (ID+plate). It is my understanding that the list does not clear with time, but only with more sales. If you know a little about programming I'm talking about something like a FIFO structure with 7 "spots". If my memory does not fail, NicGore found this changes, and all the talking in that time plus the update to the OP, put me to think that the list does not reset with time.
I never saw the code, but for all the info and what they were talking about when the tracking sales system was found in August. I always assumed that your last 7 sale will not clear/reset over time. I can be wrong, but I prefer to take extra precautions, just in case.
And I don't know how many time I said this already, take an extra minute to check if you can change the plate before selling the car. There was a few times when the game lost connection to the Social Club, so your custom plates won't show, not because R* took your plates, just because there was no connection to the other server. Or another example, deleting one of your custom plates, if you had that plate on more than one car, all of them were dirty due to dupe detection system (idk if this issue was fixed or not).

I know that NicGore mentioned that and added it to the OP. I personally haven’t had an issue with that but that doesn’t mean others haven’t. I think when it’s especially pertinent is the addition of overselling. I know it’s in the code but like I said I don’t sell a whole lot per day and to be truthful at least concerning my PS4 accounts I usually sell dupes and frozen money deluxos/bombushkas/Oppressors. Maybe because I mix it up on PS4 I have less of a chance to be flagged.
On Xbox however I only sell dupes. I haven’t yet run into an issue since Nic found that in the code. Again it doesn’t mean that it’s not counting the plates from my last seven sales but at the pace that I sell it’s probably a non issue. I didn’t intend to imply you were being greedy it was just a general statement for anyone who is new to the dupe game which you are clearly not:wink:

Your best practice will be:
  1. Not more than 2 cars each hour and never back to back
  2. Not more than 8 cars in 30 hours
Which is outlined in the OP.
This thread has changed a lot over the past couple of years and can be confusing if you read each and every post especially the older posts as the information has changed since the beginning. It’s good for you to be familiar with the OP and if you have any other questions just ask and someone will surely give you advice.
I will do the best I can to guide you in the right direction:wink:

Okay thank you, and by back to back, you mean sell a car off the startssin between or just give like an hour gap?

Yes back to back means one after the other. It’s best to only sell one per hour but if you are going to sell 2 in an hour make sure you leave at least 30 minutes in between sales.

I've glitching and duping for quite a while. I created a second character only with the purpose of storing dupes, maybe you are familiar the expression "Adder bonds" (?), I think one of the only vehicles I bought (pay full price) is a Kuruma, to get to rank 120 more easy.
Thanks for that info, I've been selling that way for a very long time, now I'm a little less worry.
I repeat myself too, the thing is 90% of all the YouTube videos, either they assume you know all this stuff about duping or they just don't care and want you to "like and subscribe" (plus a 5 minutes intro to get to 10+ minutes of video). They don't put a warning about what can happen to you, the only thing they say is pretty much, you are gonna be rich. I think they should put small warning and maybe a link to this thread.
And yes, don't be greedy and be patient I think are the best advice, 1 retro custom is almost 1 mil, compare how much effort is to grind that with driving a car from your garage to a LSC and press a few buttons.
English is not my first language, so sometimes maybe I'm not clear enough.

PS: sorry for the textwall and for going off-topic, but I just wanted to say it.

I couldn’t agree more. YouTube is the reason most players end up in the one car a day club. Most Creators there just want clicks and do not post videos responsibly. There less than a handful of people that would even make you aware what a dirty dupe is.

Hopefully people find us here on Se7ensins before they have a problem.
My one account of 12 that’s in the 1 car a day club was a sacrifice to the duping gods:roflmao:
All in the name of science

Okay there is a lot of information and im having trouble understanding. I just started duping cars. Yesterday I duped 8 elegy retros and sold them all right after each other. Currently I duped 5 arena issi but havent sold them yet. At this point what should i do to keep from hitting any limits or getting dupe detected. I didnt even realize this was a thing until a video popped up on my youtube suggestions.

Ok first of all don’t sell anything else for at least 30 hours after your last sale you are in danger of hitting the daily sales limit.
Stick to this criteria going forward:
image.png

Space your sales an hour apart and never sell more than eight cars in a day. Treat your garages as if they were your bank account. Be careful to not oversell in the future and you will be fine.

One thing that will aid you when duping is having custom plates created in iFruit and available to you online. If you have duplicate game generated license plates on any two vehicles you will be dupe detected immediately. Always be aware of which license plates you have on your car. Custom plates are good game issued plates are bad if you sell a duplicate. Outside of that there isn’t a way to figure out if you are dupe detected until you go into LSC and get a message stating you are on a daily sales limit. Your mission is to avoid that by following the current sales criteria and making sure you don’t sell a car with identical numbered plates as another.

Well I just checked the cars I have duped and none have duplicate plates. They just take the plate of the elegy that they replaced. So I have no reason to believe i've been detected. Thank you for explaining to me.

Make sure you start using custom plates on your original vehicles before duping. The dupe you’re using is what known as a merge and that’s why your plates are clean. Once you get into a normal dupe you will need to use custom plates for sure. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
I hope to help you prevent having a daily sell limit.
