I have a 4gb corona that im trying to read the nand on but when I plug in my sd tool the drive does not pop up. I'm doing the pin header install and have a jumper from pin 15 to the crystal. Any help would be great
I am uploading pictures right now but I know my saldering is good. The light does come on and this is my 3rd reader I have tried and this one is built into my Alienware 17 so I dont think its the readerCan you post pics of your soldering (possibly unrelated but always worth having a look)? Also, does your SD tool light up when you plug it into your PC?
Considering the light comes on, that's a very good sign in regards to your soldering. So, as soon as you plug in the SD tool, does Windows give you any message such as "You need to format the drive before you can use it"? If not, I'd check if anything is visible in Device Manager.I am uploading pictures right now but I know my saldering is good. Where would it be listed?Considering the light comes on, that's a very good sign in regards to your soldering. Do you have any other SD type tech, like an SD card that you can use to test the reader? It's possible the issue could lie with the SD Tool itself.
I'm not 100% sure - I've never actually done much at all with Slims so there's almost certainly someone better qualified than me to help you out. But I'd try plugging another SD type device into the readers - if they work then you know the SD Tool is the issue.Where would it be listed?
That is what I was thinking, the second I plug it in my computer gets kinda glitchy and stops showing drives. It did just start showing the reader but when I click read i get "Failed to get DiskGeometry".I'm not 100% sure - I've never actually done much at all with Slims so there's almost certainly someone better qualified than me to help you out. Okay I found out that was just because it seen the reader, it didn't see the nand thoughThat is what I was thinking, the second I plug it in my computer gets kinda glitchy and stops showing drives. It did just start showing the reader but when I click read i get "Failed to get DiskGeometry".
