Do I need more drives listed past F:biggrin:rive? F & G X, Y, Z? I believe X has my cd rips stored. Could I get away with C: D: E: and have F for all apps and games? What is the best practice for item lotion in a particular drive? Is there a list of what apps go where?

Depending on your size of HDD, like for example, a 2 TB HDD has to be split evenly between F and G as it will mess up if it’s not partitioned that way.

So if one partition cant have all of the remaining space and we start to run out of space, we just use other folder in other partitions? That's why that same folder structure exists in multiple partitions?

There’s errors if you don’t split the 2 TB drive (F and G drive). If you have a 1TB drive, I believe you’re fine if you don’t split the drive (All F drive).

Thank you for helping me. What software works best to format the HDD and what option should I select to do so? I have a 500gb HDD.

Get the HeXeN 2017 disc (just use google to find it) and is it a hard mod correct? There you can use the TSOP/Chipped option for a new hard drive and follow the directions. Since it’s a 500 GB just do F when asked, no need for F and G.

Yes it has a mod chip. I found heXen 2017 and I am at XBpartitioner 1.3 and it shows partitions 1-14. How do I know which number is which partition? It didn't let me format the C only F and up.

The Xbox has specific partitions assigned to each drive letter:
  • E - partition 1 - Game Saves and CD RIPS
  • C - partition 2 - MS Dashboard (system software)
  • X - partition 3 - Game Cache 1
  • Y - partition 4 - Game Cache 2
  • Z - partition 5 - Game Cache 3
  • F - partition 6 - Extended User Data Partition - Games/Apps/Videos/Music
  • G - partition 7- Extended User Data Partition - Games/Apps/Videos/Music
as for the other partition numbers 8-14 I've never seen anyone use those.
