So, just updated and saw that splint is now unlimited to “help with the pace” of combat.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a terrible idea? The pace was fine before. If anything, it was too fast depending on the map.

I don't think "everyone" was requesting it. I'm sure some people were. To me, removing sprint speed just brings it closer to being like AW, BO3, and IW where people going too quickly. I guess I just miss the gameplay from WaW and CoD 4 where things were more strategic. It was about being smart and using the map as opposed to just being fast.

They are not caring about old games anymore alot of people need to understand that the past is the past especially that Fortnite is killing games right now i have 90+ friends that use to game all day COD or mostly GTA and now all I see is Fortnite....Fortnite....Fortnite....Fortnite must I go on? Call of Duty is still a great game and franchise and as you put it when it was at its prime back in COD4-MW3 now its clunky and they need something new they need a better engine they need to change things around especially because they are losing people to Fortnite. So anything right now they can manage to implement is good for them from unlimited sprint and more additions.

The only update they've put out that I liked was the supply drop changes and even that one I didn't really like. Unlimited sprint is ridiculous. The pace of the game was fine.

Considering that they Remastered CoD 4 and older games from other franchises are being remastered, I don't think the idea of the "past is the past" applies per se when it comes to CoD or gaming. Even CoD ended up reverting back it to "its roots with boots on the ground."
Not to mention, given how much people compare games to their prequels, I don't think the past always stays in the past.

I agree things should be implemented, but I would think they would want to make certain changes that move the series into a new pinnacle. We've already had tons of speed and fast-paced combat with AW, IW, and BO3, and I'm pretty sure those entries weren't as well received as CoD 4 - MW3. I understand what you're saying though, change is good to keep the series fresh. I think change is good. I mean, BO1's progression system and how XP was converted to spendable points was very different. However, I don't think it had the same disparate impact that increasing sprint duration might have on WWII where lots of the maps are already small.

I'm glad they did that update. I actually really like the supply drop system too. The drops are all easy to get and with the update I've gotten tons of weapon variants that grant XP bonuses. I just feel like the sprint duration is going to cause so many headless chickens to appear.

Honestly none of my friends play fortnite (Or PubG) and all of them are excited of the possibility of MW2 remastered. I don't think it's going to make much difference adding unlimited sprint to www2, It's 5 months old and still borked so nothing has really changed.

The only thing I didn't like was the weapon charms but with that update they made the whole system even better. This new update is pretty much changing the whole game.

Yeah, I felt the weapon charms were unnecessary and really took away from the whole "WWII was gritty" vibe. However, if having silly weapon charms means more likely to get new weapon variants from drops, I'm fine with that. But yeah, I think this sprinting mechanic is going way too far.
