This is going to seem like a very dumb request/question, and it very well may be, but I am very curious and haven't been able to find an answer. Does anyone know where Microsoft sources their cables? I am specifically looking for the ones used in XDK's, with shortened versions for the disc drive. A physical description would be the black cable(s) with a white connector at the end. I would love to use these exact wires in a project I have been working on but I cannot find anything close. I am a simple man so I most likely am missing the obvious or have stumbled upon them but did not even notice.

The cables are on the left side of the picture included below.

Any information is appreciated.

They're just standard JST connectors. I've used Digikey to replace quite a few XDK cables. Here is an example: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/jst-sales-america-inc/PHDR-14VS/455-1172-ND/608614

You'll want to go through and find the correct pin count obviously as well as some precrimped leads at the correct length. Here is an example of a matching wire for the above connector: https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/jst-sales-america-inc/APAPA22K51/455-3084-ND/6009460
Thank you very much
