I know right?!?! It's so bad that you can be reported just for choosing a certain hero that the developers put in the game, yet a report is just one click away from your rep taking a beating, it's quite sad.
Overwatch com is the most toxic ever. Killed my rep. Hope this tank thing works. 2 hrs in an no results yet. Thanks for the tip tho op.

I never knew you could actually see a summary of the reports you have against you in the last 6 months, pretty cool.

7 unsporting reports - probably all from t-bagging (I play Destiny and grew up playing the early Halo's so I can't really help myself when you do something dumb I will t-bag you)

2 cheating - obviously bulls*** and shouldn't even count against you on the new consoles unless you have a ton of cheating reports and it is looked into

2 voice communication and 1 messaging - Surprised I had any voice reports as I'm rarely in regular game chat and usually muted. I do send **** talk through messages, but usually all in good nature with smilies and a gg afterwards.

So I have 12 reports and a good reputation still and I'm an outspoken player who probably should fall under "Needs Work" for my reputation. I find it hard to believe people rack up enough reports just by accident to become "avoid me".

I can't talk much having been "Avoid Me" previously but I agree and I'm definitely a bit of a "Needs Work" gamer myself lol. It has been funny the amount of people who seem to be surprised by this system - who seemingly have no idea that they're doing something wrong until they're deep in the bad rep. When I had this issue I was being a HUGE jerk on Chivalry (ironic lol - was teabagging every player that I had killed) and there was nooooo mistaking that I had deserved the rep ban.

I suspect some lie or downplay their jerk behavior just for the sake of getting good help. I also suspect the ones who clamor for the rep system to change are the worst trolls secretly lol.

Oh well! It's all fun and games... until you end up here, I suppose.

I have had this account since day 1 on XboxOne played multiple games and as soon as Overwatch Competitive started I was made "Avoid Me" soon after hitting masters in season 2. I made a smurf account pretty much each season after that since this also happened to the smurf accounts, multiple reports of "cheating". Since PUBG will be coming out in the coming months I am trying to get my main account back and I am now 15hrs into world of tanks and still in "Avoid Me".. Xbox website says I'm a good player, I hate this boring WoT.. Good news I now own an M4 tank... FML

I'm thinking fortnite battle royale is going to to be the new king of getting on the good side of rep. No more world of tanks thank God.

I have added Fortnite to the list as speculation. 100 player matches would be ideal. I will update the post entirely to switch from WoT to Fortnite if someone can confirm getting into Battle Royale mode with an Avoid Me rep.

Day 2 of grinding Fornite, doesn't seem to be having a positive effect on my reputation. Not how I want to be spending my vacation as I am horrible at the game, lol. It is pretty fun though. 27 reports in 6 months.

Thanks for the long post about the Xbox reputation system. It really game me some clarity regarding on how it all works. I'm at the "Needs Work" part after a match in Dead By Daylight where the players were very upset that I killed their friend in the final moments. They harassed me about it and I just blocked them. Messaged them back, said nothing vulgar and blocked them. End of that so I thought.

I wake up today..I find out I'm in the 1st "Needs Work" reputation scale. I had no idea how it worked until I came upon your post. Apparently they all reported me for unsporting conduct and my messages. My messages were rational and didn't have anything vulgar in them but I guess it just depends on the volume of reports. Not to what they attain necessarily. 5 unsporting reports and 3 for messages. It's amazing how petty some people can be to abuse a system like this.

So yeah, thanks for putting all the time and effort into that post. It is greatly appreciated to people like me who are unaware of the rep system.

Many of us are getting into Fortnite Battle Royale matches with “Avoid Me” reputations, including myself”. So I think it’s safe to say it works.

And my reason for my rep isn’t that bad. In Battlefront 2, you can afk farm credits so I just set it up before I go to bed so I can get free credits. If my team cant win a 3v4 against garbage Xbox Battlefront players then I think it’s time to return the game. And if they can’t, just leave and find a new lobby. It ain’t that hard. It’s nothing as bad as being a ******** that spawn kills and thinks it’s fair like that guy I saw your argument with. lmao put his *** in the ground

Main post has been updated 06/05/2018.
Thanks for your contributions, guys! All I need is a confirmation that Fortnite did in fact raise your reps back up to Clean Player and then I'll update a final time to make Fortnite the #1 suggested game.

I have had this account since day 1 on XboxOne played multiple games and as soon as Overwatch Competitive started I was made "Avoid Me" soon after hitting masters in season 2. Haha yeah...I got better at WoT than I wanted to. Although I enjoyed the battlefield tanks so it wasn't too bad.

Agreed.

That's a real concern. I have been absent from this for quite some time but just now updated the main post. It's at more than 15,000 views surprisingly. Now that it's been some time can you confirm if it helped your rep?

I was just as confused as you when all of my stuff started going sour. Next thing you know there's no more matchmaking functionality on a console that I've shelled out hundreds for not to mention the games themselves. Ahhh happy to have fixed it lol and I have not had a problem with it since. Happy to help.

Confirmed and updated. Can we confirm that it fixed your rep?

Bumping this thread for relevance please feel free to post any questions. This is still the only way to fix rep.

What I am wondering is if the reputation is only based on the amount reports related to the amount of players, and how this is being recorded / weighed by the system.;

I've spent years with a good reputation, but still getting one or two reports a month.
This week I got my "Needs work'" status after playing a lot of Battlefield 4, where people seem to get easily upset.

Those were mostly smaller lobbies, and has a smaller playerbase. so you'll run into the same players a lot.
However, I did play quite a number of CoD Warzone matches with my friends, which match you with 100+ players each match (cross platform though).

But even though I'm playing Forza Horizon 4 (50+ recent players every time you get into the open world), and Neverwinter (100+ players every hour), I can't really see a change in my reputation.
I'm still on 31 unsporting reports in the last 6 months.

So:
- Does the system only count recent players? (Which doesn't make sense)
- Does the system also count the amount of matches?
- Does the system need time to change your reputation? (So that you'll need a couple of days of good behavior to fix it)

What's the threshold here?
Because I haven't changed my ingame behavior in years, but suddenly it's worthy of a reputation drop.
Was I on the brink of dropping every month, or is there a bug in the latest update that has gone unnoticed?

And even more important: Why is this system so limited?
I can be quite unfriendly in games like Battlefield (PTFO), and I will blow up an allied tank if the driver is acting like a toddler.
But if you are helpful, I will spam the "Thank you" comms wheel, and I will run into a hot-spot to revive a good teammate.

Does that make me "unsporting"?
I would say that I focus on the team, and I will make sure we win, even if that involved teamkilling a little kid who's camping in the base with a tank.
We need that tank. We don't need the kid.

What one person sees as unsporting, another may find perfectly acceptable.
I don't mind being reported as "PTFO", and not matching with players who are reported as "Relaxxing in the back".

And my behavior in Battlefield is not the same as in Forza, or CoD, or World of Warships, etc. etc.
Why do I "Need work"? I am not going to work on being a camper.
And I most definitely don't need to work on my behavior in Sea of Thieves, because I'm a very friendly pirate.
I even say Yarr via voicechat.

What's the purpose of this reputation system?
The result of this reputation change is that I'm now non stop reporting anyone who doesn't play properly, and I'm not sure if that's what Xbox intended...

Hey again haha.

It is entirely possible that players from one game can ruin your rep. I don't know how, but that's how I ended up here was over a game with a very tiny, very salty community.

Also, I don't know about cross-platform success with this - I think it needs to be Xbox players.
