Hi all, newbie here I'm afraid, but experienced electronic engineer and modder (not of Xbox's hence why im here).
I have an Xbox one with faulty Mboard. Turns on beeps and turns off again. Any advice on possible faulty component would be useful, but mainly my question is this...
I purchased a replacement mainboard, thinking, easy swap, away I go, but noooo couldnt be that simple could it.
So as im sure everyone on here is aware, the HDD and apparently also the Bluray are locked with hardware codes to the original Mboard it came with.
So my question is this. The original HDD and bluray work fine but obviously not in the new motherboard and just boots to diagnostic/reset screen and get error code E106 I think it is or E206 cant remember of the top, apparently because of the hardware lock.
Is there a way to get round this and is there a tutorial that lays it out barebones for me to follow. Im guessing if possible, its gonna be reading some NVRAM or NAND info of the original board (which wont turn on so have to be a standalone chip reader I guess) and copying to the new ne, or some software hack to circumvent it.
Please, any advice on this would be gratefully received as it is now driving me nuts after endless google searching. Only seem to find stuff that needs the original HDD for the Mboard.
Thanks in anticipation
