For those that haven't noticed, I've seen that the longer a supply run takes to complete, the more you get out of it as a result.

At first, I didn't really manage to notice it. Mainly because, the ones where you have to drive vehicles take longer to complete than the ones where you collect a single pickup. Because of this, more Supplies would be added to your bar when driving a Technical from the Del Perro Beach to Sandy Shores, instead of a small quantity for simply flying back and forth in an aircraft or the Oppressor.

I presumed you gained more from vehicles simply because they were bigger than single pickups. But, on a supply run that sees you grabbing a tank, I managed to complete it in minutes as I had a Cargobob before starting the run... don't know why, exactly, but, as I said - I completed it in minutes. This is where I noticed next to no change in my Supplies.. odd.

I then did another supply run, but this one saw me going to the Altruist camp for the pickup. Before getting to the camp, I had to go AFK for about 10-15 minutes. I got back to the game, retrieved the Supplies, then headed back to the Bunker with just a few minutes to spare. I then got a very nice chunk added to the Supplies bar.

This was not a one off: I've repeatedly taken my time on each supply run, and each time I wait until the last few minutes, and always receive a generous chunk added to the bar.

So, the tip is - don't rush supply runs. They work the same way that Missions do with money; the longer it takes you, the more you're rewarded with.

Nah, because then you get more done quicker. They don't want you doing things quickly, they want you in for a long time and to get annoyed with how long things take so you buy a shark card.

It's the old Rooftop Rumble argument, isn't it? People used to be adamant that you could make $30,000 if you hung around Madrazo's house for 20 minutes without realising that in the time you were doing that, you could have done 2 or 3 more missions and probably made more.

Yeah, haha. I never understood he science behind that. Take 10 minutes to do it twice, and you will be earning more than taking 20 minutes to do it once.

Still didn't beat the early days: Start up Rooftop Rumble > Run for a few seconds toward the car park > kill a handful of people > go in and pick up the briefcase > $46,000 > Replay from Next Job menu > repeat > profit.

My point being that if you did the same with the resupply missions, you'd fill your meter up higher and faster than you would hanging around or 'taking your time'.

I'm not saying to sit around purposely for 20 minutes. Just don't feel as though rushing is mandatory.

I tested this out several times last night and this morning, I never got a difference in how much my supplies went up. Did one supply mission in 5 minutes and then the next I waited until 10 seconds were left. There was no difference in the amount for me. I kept trying different times this morning, and all the same.

I think this all varies by which mission. The one time I waited til the timer was down to 5 minutes and got over half a bar(solo), next one I did the same except waited to 20 seconds and barely got anything.

First one I stole a tank, second one I stole supplies from the yacht.

Not sure about all this.....seems too inconsistent for me.

Apparently when your doing supply runs, during that time no supplies are converting into product. Like it pauses it for some reason. Its been suggested that instead of putting time into supply runs to actually buy the supplies instead as even though your paying for them there is no pause on the converting of supplies to product and therefore your producing product quicker meaning your getting more product sales than you would stealing them. In fact you can make the money back up that you paid in buying supplies by doing missions. Do other people find this is actually a better option?

I've just done a few today and it seems it has changed to a standard of basing what you gain off of the size of the delivered of the Supplies. So, a tank will give you a lot, while a small crate will be next to pointless. It was good while it lasted, I guess.

Do other people find this is actually a better option?
For a fully upgraded Bunker, it would cost a total of $300,000 to buy all of the needed Supplies for optimum Stock. That's not bad, if you want to be trading $300,000 in to save what would be about an hour's worth of supply runs. For some, a $300,000 'commission' is worth it when you're making $1,050,000 in a solo public lobby. For the rich, $300,000 is pocket change, but that $300,000 could be all the difference for the poor.

Is it worth it though? Like does the money deserve the time you wait for?

I don't believe so. I've been experimenting and it seems the wait no longer matters.

I'm wondering if it was unintentional and hotfixed.

I filled my supplies up on two solo runs(rail gun and a package) a week or so ago. Did the same exact thing last night and ended up with only about 1/4 of a supply bar.

Maybe it's just a extra sum of money to pity the guy that's taking forever to do the mission?

I don't know. It's just so inconsistent that I'm not sure anymore.

I may start a spreadsheet up and actually test this fully.

The player isn't rewarded with anything other than Supplies. The only money you will get on them would come from the dead bodies you shot.
