Warning: The merge vehicle mods glitch is PC only.
PC and Consoles have a different save system. On Consoles you can clean dirtys and insure lifeguard blazer. On PC you can merge vehicle mods.
Note: If you want to insure a lifeguard blazer use this in the MOC instead of a dummy vehicle.
There are a number of different tricks this can lead to. Let's work together to see what interesting things we can make happen!
Requirements:
- MOC (Mobile Operations Center) with personal vehicle storage
- Ability to purchase vehicle and mods you want to merge
- A dummy car/motorcycle to mod
1. Put the dummy vehicle in the MOC
2. Once inside the MOC, get in the dummy ready to exit MOC with the vehicle
2. Open the internet on your phone and order the vehicle you want to merge mods onto
3. When asked where to store the new vehicle, chose MOC and wait on the vehicle replace menu
4. Hold down the gas pedal and continue holding it.
5. Choose the vehicle in the MOC to replace and confirm the alert. Continue holding down the gas.
6. After confirming the purchase, back out of the phone entirely. At this point and you will start to exit the MOC. As soon as you see the screen fade to exit the MOC, stop holding the gas. Otherwise, you will be bricked outside the MOC. Once outside the MOC, you will get kicked out of the vehicle but you can still use it. The plate will change and you will essentially be using the new vehicle now.
7. Wait until you get the delivery confirmation for the new vehicle and enter the MOC with the dummy vehicle. Then exit the MOC with it and release the gas as soon as you see the screen fade.
If you enter the MOC with the dummy vehicle before the new one is delivered you might get infinite loading. Infinite loading can be canceled by joining someone in a different targeting mode, accepting the leave session alert and then canceling the targeting mode alert.
*7b. - Pay attention to the plate and if it changes you need to drive in and out of the MOC once more.
### if you only want to clean a dirty vehicle you are done now ###
### PC only from here ###
8. Take the dummy vehicle to a mod shop and add mods to merge onto the new vehicle. (To merge Bennys wheels be sure the dummy vehicle is already upgraded. If you upgrade to a Custom after purchasing you will keep the replaced vehicle after restart.)
9. Restart the game or go offline/creator and back online and enjoy your new vehicle
Here are a few vehicles I created with this method.
* To get the Panto without bumpers, roof, trunk etc I used a motorcycle (faggio) as the dummy and bought a Panto over it. Then I stored the motorcycle in my MC. This put the Panto in my MC and removed the parts. Be careful if you take it into a mod shop after. I had the rear bumper show back up but then it want away again after restart. This will probably work for the other vehicles that have removable parts too!
* To get the Bennys wheels on my Coil Voltic, I started with a Custom Minivan and then added the wheels AFTER I replaced it.
* To get the chrome paint on the Massacro Racecar I used a free RH8 and changed the paint after I replaced it.
** To make a quick $60k, steal a PCJ 600 or another bike off the street or buy one and replace it with an RH8. Then, upgrade the bike (Armor, Brakes, Engine, Headlights, Transmission, Turbo and add Romper Racing wheels [Front only]) for about $75k and sell the RH8 for about $140k! I modded and sold a full 10 car garage in an hour and a half and made about $625k using the sell limit bypass too (PC only).
If anyone discovers any other neat tricks, please share
