Your Xbox will need to be connected through WiFi. You will also need access to an Ethernet cable.

Step 1 - Make sure you are connected through WiFi and start up an online session.

Step 2 - Once loaded into any session, doesn't matter how many people are in, plug in the ethernet cable.

Step 3 - There is no step 3, everyone should be kicked within 10-15 seconds.

Works for me on Xbox One, not sure about other consoles, but since there's other methods for PS4, and PC, this seems like the best bet for Xbox One users. Have fun!!

(P.S., what I usually do is stay in that first session that I land in while staying on WiFi, do my sales from there. As soon as you encounter problems, you can always just quickly plug in Ethernet cable to kick everyone at that point. That way, you can get the higher payout because you're in with other people, and still get that safety of kicking anyone whenever you need it!)

I've been doing this, since forever.

So, Im not the smartest dude on the block but you are saying that when you switch from wifi to cabled, it splits the lobby?
This would be good for those of us that have a screw in coaxial cable coming into the back of the router.

Ok, lets not get this confused by adding other methods. His Tutorial doesnt have anything to do with changing dates on console etc. So please, do not use this thread to post other methods to get into a public lobby alone.

Thanks, Gandalf the wise! I thought the fellow sinners might enjoy this one as I haven't found anything yet for Xbox and I've been searching, trust me! LOL

yep, thanks. It is easy to get a split lobby on XB1 IF you have DSL or other service that uses a clip type end on the cable going in to the Router/gateway. But if you have cable and use a coaxial screw in type connector, its not as easy.
Your method helps.
Once question...after switching to plug in, I assume I can switch right back and still be alone. I dont like a 50 foot cable running through my house.

I don't think it works the other way around. By going from Ethernet to WiFi (physical disconnect), the internet will disconnect. From WiFi to Ethernet, it just switches over, no time for sign out. Maybe if u connect to WiFi from the options?

No. It was about new way to split the lobby. You can comment on his method but posting other ideas or methods is off topic.

Yeah mines is about 50ft away too lol.
Think I will buy one that plugs into ring main and then I will have one right beside console and other at router.
Pain in the neck unscrewing cable and it affects others in house

Interesting idea, but as another player reported it doesn't work for me. It kicks me out of the lobby and after trying to join a new session it tosses me back to sp. I then get a message similar to "you've signed out of xblive". If I try to load back in at that point it still fails - once I reboot it's fine.
