Hello,

I bought GTA V about 4 months ago on Steam. The game was working fine until I recently bought an Xbox One controller (wired) for Windows. The controller works fine on all my games except GTA V. The problem is that: when I aim/zoom with a gun I can not shoot. As soon as I press the right trigger, the weapon go back to its normal position. It's impossible to shoot/fire '' normally '' unless I'm not aiming. The settings of the controller are set in default. Knowing that my controller works perfectly, and it is not the problem, what is the solution?

Did you make sure that it is 100% compatible with PC? Xbox ONE controller? I think I'm using a 360 one and I've had no trouble aiming. I'd check to see if the drivers for it are all up to date or check your aim settings and controls. It could be the game itself. Hard to tell really.

Yes, the controller is for Windows only and it works fine on other games. I bought it from Bestbuy.

OK, so like I said, it could just be GTA: V itself that is giving you problems. My last suggestion is to find a program that allows you to change the button mapping so you can remap the one that isn't working to one that can work.

Is it an Elite controller or regular? Elite version has 2 switches on underside that limit the triggers pull distance and thus sensitivity. As gta v triggers are sensitive to this, unlocking the switches under the controller is required to shoot etc. they are on the bottom near the battery hatch on the outside, no need to open it up. Pls respond if this was the cause for you.
