Dito
Irritable Genius
I'm becoming convinced that JRP is a secret CIA program designed to drive modders like me completely insane. I've lost track of how many times I've had to quit the program, restart it, unplug and replug the cable, uninstall and reinstall the drivers, and so on.
So here's the latest. I wired up a set of pin headers and connected my new X360 ACE v3. I spliced in my 22K resistor. My wires from my failed CR3 Lite experience (don't ask) all reached the new points on the ACE. I snipped off the unneeded (?) diode (?) from the ACE and connected up it's 1.8V power supply.
So now, all that's left is to install the special ACE dynamic timing file.
But each time I try, I get
XSFV Player Initializing... (or something like that; the logs are on an old PC in the basement)
Xilink device not found!
Even better, sometimes I click the "RUN" button on the XSVF dialog box and it just says
Device not found!
It took 15 minutes to do the soldering and wiring; the last 90 minutes have been spent fighting with JRP. And yes, it behaved almost this badly using the CR3 Lite. Except that I could usually get the XSFV player working and sending over the timing files, even though none of them worked.
Just to be a smarta** and prove I didn't solder pin headers into the memory card jack or something equally retarded, here's a photo:
The yellow on the XSFV cable and pin header is Sharpie Paint Marker Yellow so I know which end is up. There's some on my fingers too. It tastes like lemon candy. Bah-hahahaha. I think I have gone insane.
Can anyone help?
